摘要： An aqueous leather coating composition having improved storage stability includes 1 to 40 weight percent of an emulsifiable polyisocyanate comprising the reaction product of an isocyanurate and an emulsifier, wherein the average isocyanate functionality of the emulsifiable polyisocyanate is 2 to 4.5; and 60 to 99 weight percent of an aqueous polymer dispersion having a Tg of −70 to 40° C. and selected from a (meth)acrylic polymer dispersion, a polyurethane dispersion, a (meth)acrylic polymer/polyurethane hybrid dispersion and a combination comprising one or more of the foregoing aqueous polymer dispersions, wherein all weight percents are on a dry basis, and based on the total dry amount of the emulsifiable polyisocyanate and the aqueous polymer dispersion. The aqueous polymer dispersion can be free of hydroxyl groups. Also disclosed are a method of coating leather with the composition, and a coated leather article.

摘要： Disclosed are methods for coating a substrate. These methods include: (a) preparing a two-component coating composition by mixing a first component and a second component to make a mixture thereof, and (b) depositing the mixture over the substrate to form a film having a 60° gloss of no more than 35 gloss units (measured according to ASTM D523-89). In these methods: (i) the first component includes: (A) an aqueous anionic, aliphatic polyurethane dispersion comprising a polyurethane having terminal methylol groups; and (ii) the second component comprises an aqueous anionic acrylic polymer solution having a viscosity of 25,000 to 60,000 mPa·s at 20° C. when measured according to DIN EN ISO 3219 at a non-volatile content of 9% to 11% by weight, based on the total weight of the solution, measured according to DIN 53189.

The natural leather comprises, as a topcoat layer, a coating film comprising 48 to 55% by weight of a two-component aliphatic polyurethane, 3 to 7% by weight of silica fine particles, 23 to 37% by weight of a cross-linking agent, and 7 to 13% by weight of a silicone touch agent (the total of the components being 100% by weight), wherein, in the coating film as the topcoat layer, the two-component aliphatic polyurethane contains 12 to 25% by weight, based on the solid content, of a polyurethane resin matting agent, or wherein, in the coating film as the topcoat layer, the two-component aliphatic polyurethane is contained in an amount of 51 to 55% by weight based on the solid content and further contains 6 to 10% by weight, based on the solid content, of a two-component aliphatic polyurethane/acryl emulsion.

The prepolymer or resin can be produced, for example, by the reaction of (i) an isocyanate, (ii) at least one reactant selected from the group consisting of chain extenders, polyols, and combinations thereof, and (iii) an active hydrogen-terminated colorant. The active hydrogen-terminated colorant comprises a chromophore and an active hydrogen-terminated constituent bound to the chromophore. Novel methods for producing leather articles using active hydrogen-terminated colorants are also provided.

摘要： The present invention discloses a coloring method of a natural leather and a colored natural leather using the same. The coloring method includes the steps of: putting the natural leather having a colored layer formed on one face thereof together with a releasing paper having an aqueous polyurethane layer and an adhesive layer sequentially coated thereon so that the colored layer and the adhesive layer are faced to be in contact with each other; and removing the releasing paper from the aqueous polyurethane layer. The colored natural leather includes an aqueous polyurethane layer; an adhesive layer formed on an upper surface of the aqueous polyurethane layer; a colored layer having various colors of pattern, formed on an upper surface of the adhesive layer; and a natural leather formed on an upper surface of the colored layer.
