A manifold with arms extends between the items. The manifold moves up and down so that the arms move up and down the length of the items to be treated. The arms have one set of pipes that spray wash water, rinse water and other washing liquids on the items. The arms have another set of pipes that carry air to the items, drying the items. After the cycle is complete the clothes or other items may be left in the device until needed.

摘要： A wetsuit washer shaped like a coat hanger, but having a second horizontal member on which the wetsuit is hung, has a hollow construction to permit water to spray from it while the wetsuit is hanging on it. The lower horizontal arm is inside the wetsuit and spray washes that portion of the wetsuit, and the top arm of the coat hanger extends above the shoulders of the wetsuit and directs a spray of water downwardly over the outside of the wetsuit. To prevent excessive splattering, a shroud is placed over the top arm and over the wetsuit. The wetsuit washer does not require a shower chamber, and it can be readily transported and used under field conditions so long as a water hose is available.

摘要： A washing machine with a front-loading washing and drying chamber, including a slidable rack for the suspension of garments to be washed by a set of spray nozzles, is provided with a narrow air shaft rising alongside the treatment chamber and communicating with it at the top and bottom, the air being circulated in a drying phase along a closed path by a blower above the chamber. A sprinkler disposed in the upper part of the air shaft serves to condense the steam entrained with the circulating air, its jets being intercepted by a textile liner on the shaft wall which guides the water down to a collecting trough at the chamber bottom. In a washing phase, with the spray nozzles operating, solution accumulating in the trough is recirculated after reheating by a heater split into two sections, one of them being energized continuously during a warmup period while the other is energized only during standstill of the intermittently operated recirculation pump.
