That is, the present invention provides the softener composition which comprises (A) a nonionic compound which has at least one C5-36 alkyl or alkenyl group and an amide bond but contains no dissociative group of amino or carboxyl group; and (B) at least one member selected among (B-α) cationic or ampholytic surfactants having one C5-36 alkyl or alkenyl group or one optionally substituted aryl group and (B-β) amino compounds having at least one C5-36 alkyl or alkenyl group and salts of the compounds.

The fabric treatment composition includes a fabric treatment agent and a carrier component for containing the fabric treatment agent in a solid form during operation conditions in a dryer. The fabric treatment composition is constructed for transferring the composition to wet fabric as a result of solubilizing the fabric treatment composition by contacting the fabric treatment composition with the wet fabric during a drying operation in a dryer. A method for treating fabric is provided.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a method for treating a material to impart wrinkle reduction and temporary crease resistance thereto, and improve feel. The method involves: applying to said material a solution of a treatment composition in an amount effective to impart temporary crease and stain resistance, said fabric treatment composition comprising a hydroxy urea or hydroxy amide compound; and allowing said treatment composition to dry at ambient temperature, wherein said hydroxy urea compound comprises one urea and at least one hydroxyl group and said hydroxy amide compound comprises at least one amide group and at least one hydroxyl group. The material treatment is useful in reducing wrinkles in clothing, improving the feel of fabrics, and increasing the moisture adsorbence and retention in natural and synthetic fabrics.

摘要： A method of forming a crosslinked cellulose product is disclosed wherein cellulose fibers are exposed to a solution that includes a catalyst and a crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of a cyclic N-sulfatoimide or cyclic N-phosphatoimide; a dimethoxyethanal; a mixture of glyoxal and imidazolidone; a diethanol; or a periodate. Specific examples of the crosslinking agents of the present invention include pyridinium N-sulfatosuccinimide; 2,2'-sulfonyldiethanol; sodium periodate; a mixture of dimethoxyethanal and urea; and a mixture of glyoxal and 2-imidazolidone. An acid or base catalyst, as appropriate, may be used with the crosslinking agent to increase the crosslinking reaction rate. In especially preferred embodiments, cellulose fibers are exposed to the crosslinking agent and catalyst, then separated into individualized fibers in a fiberizer. The individualized fibers are then dried and cured at an elevated temperature such that intrafiber cellulose crosslinking bonds are formed to the substantial exclusion of interfiber bonds. The resulting cellulose fibers have high absorbency, bulk, and wet and dry resiliency that makes them suitable for use in such cellulose products as paper towels, diapers, and sanitary products.
