In a disclosed example, a plurality of tension members (32) are at least partially surrounded by a first portion (36) comprising a first polymer composition. A second portion (38) establishes at least one exterior surface (40) of the jacket (34) and comprises a second polymer composition. In one example, a surface-modifying agent is added to alter the composition of at least a portion of the jacket (34). In another example, co-extrusion techniques using different polymer compositions establish different portions of the jacket (34).

摘要： An exemplary load bearing member for use in an elevator system is made by a process that includes heating at least one tension member. The heated tension member is placed adjacent one side of a first jacket layer. The first jacket layer is at least partially melted in the vicinity of the heated tension member such that the tension member at least partially penetrates the first jacket layer. Subsequently, a second jacket layer is added adjacent to the one side of the first jacket layer such that the elongated tension member is between the first and second jacket layers. The second jacket layer is at least partially melted in the vicinity of the heated tension member such that the tension member at least partially penetrates the second jacket layer. The first and second jacket layers are secured together such that the resulting load bearing member has a planar traction.

The shell is coated, at least in areas, on the outer surface thereof, wherein the coating optionally has a friction-reducing, friction-increasing, and/or wear-reducing effect.

The suspension element is guided and/or driven by a traction sheave and/or a drive shaft and/or a deflecting pulley. The suspension element is a sheathed and/or belt-type, with a first layer made of a first plasticizable and/or elastomeric material and a second layer with a connection plane formed between the first and second layers. At least one tension member—rope-type, tissue-type, or comprising a multitude of partial elements—is embedded in an area of the connection plane, a majority of a surface of said at least one tension member directly contacting said first layer. A manufacturing procedure for one of the suspension elements is provided.

The wheel includes a flute having a flat base for guiding the suspension. When the suspension is unloaded, there is an air gap between the suspension and a guide region of the flute. The suspension is ovalized under loading to close the air gap. The shell is coated, at least in areas, on the outer surface thereof, wherein the coating optionally has a friction-reducing, friction-increasing, and/or wear-detecting effect.

摘要： A synthetic fiber cable has the strands of a strand layer mutually spaced apart. With the mutual spacing, the strands of the outer strand layer can move radially in the direction of the cable center and exert a radial pressure on the strands of the first inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the first inner strand layer to the strands of the second inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the second inner strand layer to the core strand. The radial pressure increases inwardly from strand layer to strand layer. The soft cable sheathing does not act as a support between the strands in circumferential direction.
