摘要： The present invention provides a core/shell polymer particle for surface sizing of cellulosic products, wherein the core polymer and the shell polymer of the core/shell polymer particle are polymerized from monomers comprising at least 40%, by weight of monomers selected from branched C3-10-alkyl (meth)acrylate, styrene, linear C1-10-alkyl (meth)acrylate, and acrylonitrile, based on the total weight of the monomers of the core/shell polymer particle; provided that the polymer of the core/shell polymer particle comprises at least 40% by weight of branched C3-6-alkyl (meth)acrylate and at least 50% by combined weight of branched C3-10-alkyl (meth)acrylate and styrene, linear C1-10-alkyl (meth)acrylate, and/or acrylonitrile, based on the total weight of the monomers of the core/shell polymer particle.

摘要： A wet coating composition useful for coating a cellulosic fiber-based substrate is provided. The composition includes two aqueous emulsions. The first emulsion includes an oxidized paraffin/polyethylene wax and the second emulsion includes an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer wax, ethylene/acrylic amide copolymer wax, ethylene/acrylic acid/acrylic amide copolymer wax or a mixture thereof. The oxidized paraffin/polyethylene wax has a surface energy less than or equal to 2 m N/m being substantially dispersive energy. The wet coating composition when dried forms a coating having a surface energy ranging from 20 to 60 m N/m being the sum of dispersive and polar energies. A process for treating a cellulosic fiber-based substrate with the wet coating composition, a substrate coated and articles including the coated substrate are also described. The process involves a heating step to allow migration of the coating towards a core of the cellulosic fiber-based substrate.

In at least one specific embodiment, a method for making a composite product can include contacting a plurality of cellulosic sheets with a resin composition that includes a phenolic resin and a monosaccharide. The resin composition can include about 0.5 wt % to about 30 wt % of the monosaccharide, based on a combined weight of the phenolic resin and the monosaccharide. The method can also include at least partially curing the resin composition to produce a composite product.

摘要： The invention discloses a method for applying large areas of glue used for a bottom film of an absorbent pad at the four corners of the bottom film of the absorbent pad of a health care article, comprising the following processes and steps: (a) gluing and conveying a release paper; (b) cutting the glued release paper; and (c) transferring an adhesive glue piece of the release paper. The invention also relates to a device for achieving the method for applying large areas of glue used for the bottom film of the absorbent pad at the four corners of the bottom film of the absorbent pad of the health care article. As to a glue piece applied on the bottom film of the absorbent pad of the invention, its peeling force may reach 20 N or more than 20 N; the width of the lump glue applied on the bottom film of the absorbent pad may reach 60 mm-450 mm; its length may reach 120 mm-1000 mm; and the normal production speed of the improved machine of the absorbent pad may reach 120-180 m/minute. The invention facilitates the absorbent pad not to be moved, draped and folded when in use and meets the market requirements of the industrialized production of the absorbent pad with large areas of glue.
