摘要： Various embodiments include a method for operating a fuel injector comprising: applying a first current to a solenoid to perform a first injection process and inject a predefined injection quantity; determining a value of a system parameter indicating the relationship between the actual fuel quantity and the predefined quantity; determining, on the basis of the value of the system parameter, whether the actually injected fuel quantity is smaller than the predefined fuel quantity by a predefined amount corresponding to a disparity between a magnetic force exerted on the armature in the direction of the pole piece and an opposite hydraulic force exerted on the armature by fuel; and if it was determined that the quantities differ by enough, applying a second current to the solenoid to perform a second injection; wherein the second current exerts a lower magnetic force on the armature in the direction of the pole piece.

摘要： During rapid warm-up operation, a CPU executes full lift injection processing, in which a nozzle needle reaches a maximum lift amount, in an intake stroke of each cylinder of a four-cylinder internal combustion engine, and then executes partial lift injection processing, in which the nozzle needle does not reach the maximum lift amount, in a compression stroke. On the other hand, during learning of injection characteristics of partial lift injection processing, the CPU executes full lift injection processing after executing partial lift injection processing, both of which are executed within a predetermined period in an intake stroke. The CPU learns the injection characteristics based on an inflection point in the temporal change of the induced electromotive force in a coil following the end of the partial lift injection processing.

摘要： A system and method of controlling the hydraulic dwell time between a first injection and a second injection performed by a fuel injector of an internal combustion engine are disclosed, in which the injector is equipped with a needle operated by a control valve. A value of a nominal electric dwell time between the first injection and the second injection is determined. An actual instant of hydraulic closing of the fuel injector after the first injection is also determined. A corrected electric dwell time is calculated as a function of the nominal electric dwell time and the actual instant of hydraulic closing of the fuel injector after the first injection. The fuel injector is operated using the corrected electric dwell time.

摘要： A high-pressure pump includes a plunger that varies a volume of a pressurizing chamber, and a control valve that controls supply of fuel into the pressurizing chamber through a first valve body. When a predetermined execution condition is satisfied, an ECU reduces power supplied to a coil more than that in a normal control to implement a noise reduction control for reducing an operating noise generated along with the driving of the valve body. During the noise reduction control, a responsiveness parameter indicating responsiveness from starting energization of the coil until the valve body is displaced to a valve closing position is acquired. An energization start timing in the noise reduction control is calculated based on the acquired responsiveness parameter after the parameter is acquired. As a result, a discharge amount control of the high-pressure pump can be appropriately implemented in the noise reduction control.
