摘要： A sound suppression system for reducing or eliminating sound produced by the operation of a breast vacuum pump includes a sound suppressing muffler assembly having an air entry port adapted to communicate with an air outlet port of a vacuum pump or other air flow generating device. The sound suppressing muffler assembly also includes a muffler housing defining an internal space communicating with the air entry port, and an opening in the housing leading to atmosphere. The muffler housing has a tortuous air path in the muffler housing. In one embodiment, sound absorbing porous foam structure is disposed in the tortuous air path. The at least one sound absorbing porous structure absorbs sound energy from the air as the air moves through the at least one air path toward the opening in the muffler housing. In further embodiments, a tortuous air path is provided between an air entry port and an opening to atmosphere in the muffler assembly.

摘要： A device for pumping and treating gases is disclosed. The device features a stator having a plurality of pumping stages connected in series one after another between a suction side and a delivery side by the inter-stage ducts. The device also includes an inner tube and a blind outer tube, the tubes inserted one inside the other and made of ceramic material, the inner tube connected to the delivery side of the rotor housing of a pumping stage and the outer tube connected to the stator and communicating with at least one inter-stage duct formed in the stator, the tubes defining a path for the pumped gases. The device also includes a plasma source located outside the stator to generate a plasma in the path of the pumped gases.

According to the invention, a liquid outlet is arranged in the suction tract in order to add liquid to gas sucked in from the chamber. The invention further relates to a method for evacuating a chamber filled with vapor. According to the invention, the vapor is condensed by introducing additional liquid into the suction tract, thus by co-condensation. By supplying liquid selectively only when liquid is required for the condensation of the vapor, water is saved.
