    • A cooling device for cooling of a seal fixed in a non-rotatable member and with a circumferential contact surface on a rotating member. A closed ring-formed chamber is arranged in the rotating member radially inside of the seal. The chamber contains an amount of cooling medium which at normal rotating operation is both liquid and gaseous, such that the liquid cooling medium which by centrifugal forces is pressed towards the outer wall of the chamber is evaporated from the heat generated by the seal, and where a cooling member is arranged on the rotating member to cool an area radially inside of the chamber, such that the gaseous cooling medium is condensed from the cooling effect of the cooling member. The invention also relates to a centrifugal separator comprising such a cooling device.

    • The present invention relates to a bearing device in which an inner ring is sealed from an outer ring by seals and together with the outer ring forms a closed bearing unit with a built-in circulation circuit for a lubricating oil mist. Rolling elements and rolling tracks disposed in the circulation circuit and lubricated by the oil mist. Means are adapted to forming an oil mist of lubricating oil from a reservoir, and means are adapted to causing the oil mist to flow in the circulation circuit. The invention also relates to an application of the bearing device for rotatably supporting a rotor in a centrifugal separator and to a method for supporting a centrifugal separator rotor for rotation about an axis of rotation.

    • The invention relates to a centrifugal separator having a bearing device and a lubricating device comprising a rotatable pump device. The pump device comprises a lubricant inlet to receive lubricant from a lubricant reservoir, and a duct to convey lubricant to an outlet device for delivering at least part of said lubricant in the form of lubricant mist through at least one lubricant outlet. The pump device further comprises a gas inlet and the outlet device comprises a gas outlet, whereby during rotation of the pump device a gas flow is maintained from the gas inlet to the gas outlet bringing along lubricant present in the duct towards the outlet device. The centrifugal separator further comprises a housing which surrounds the bearing device and the lubricating device and which allows lubricant mist to pass from the lubricating device to the bearing device in order to lubricate the latter.

    • A cooling device for cooling of a sealing means fixed in a non-rotatable member and with a circumferential contact surface on a rotating member.
