    • The present disclosure relates, according to some embodiments, to a high pressure swivel joint comprising: (a) a first tube comprising: a first tube central longitudinal axis; a first tube interior circumferential surface; a first tube circumferential surface; a first tube first end comprising a male connector comprising a plurality of bearing races; and a first tube second end; (b) a second tube having: a second tube central longitudinal axis; a second tube interior circumferential surface; a second tube circumferential surface; and a second tube first end comprising a female connector comprising a plurality of complimentary bearing races; and (c) a plurality of balls contained between the plurality of bearing races and the plurality of complimentary bearing races, wherein the first end of the first tube and the proximal end of the second tube are configured to connect to form an articulating joint, and wherein the first tube and the second tube comprise a carburizing grade micro-alloy steel, wherein the carburizing grade micro-alloy steel comprises a yield strength of greater than about 110,000 psi, a tensile strength of greater than about 130,000 psi, an elongation of greater than about 14%, a reduction area of greater than about 45%, and a longitudinal Charpy v-notch of greater than about 31 ft/lbs longitudinal at about −40° C., and a nickel concentration of less than about 1 wt. %, by weight of the carburizing grade micro-alloy steel, and a carbon content of less than about 0.15 wt. %, by weight of the carburizing grade micro-alloy steel.

    • A hose reel bearing arrangement supports a rotatable swivel shaft on a stationary hose reel frame. The bearing arrangement comprises a stationary bearing race, a rotating bearing race and a bearing. The stationary bearing race is anchored to the stationary hose reel frame, and has a stationary arcuate land for bearing an axial load, a stationary cylindrical land for bearing a radial load, and a stationary frustoconical intervening portion. The rotating bearing race is anchored to the rotatable swivel shaft, and has a rotating arcuate land for bearing the axial load, a rotating cylindrical land for bearing the radial load, and a rotating frustoconical intervening portion. The bearing is bracketed axially by the stationary arcuate land and the rotating arcuate land, and radially by the stationary cylindrical land and the rotating cylindrical land.

    • An adapter is used with a leaching chamber or like article to change the invert elevation for a pipe which carries water to the article. The first end of the adapter fits a hole or other port on the article. The body of the adapter rotates about that first end, changing the elevation of the second end relative to the base. Stops on the adapter body limit rotation: in one direction so the first and second ends are vertically aligned; and in the opposing direction so that the lengthwise axes of the first and second ends lie in an inclined plane. Thus, three positive invert elevations can be set for an inlet pipe for a particular article: a first and second at each limit of rotation of the adapter, and a third and lowermost elevation, wherein the adapter is not used.

    • A swivel coupling for high pressure fluid of the type providing an axle through which fluid can pass to a rotary connector. The swivel coupling includes first and second mechanical bearings spaced apart and mounted along the axle, wherein each mechanical bearing has an inner and an outer bearing member. The inner bearing members are attached to the axle while a mounting member attaches to the outer bearings so that the bearings provide radial and axial support between the axle and the mounting member while allowing relative rotation between them. A fluid opening on the axle between the mechanical bearings communicates with the rotary connector. The rotary connector is supported by a pair of swivel bushings wherein each swivel bushing is mounted on an opposing end of the rotary connector for locating it between the mechanical bearings. High pressure seals are fitted into upper and lower annular recesses located on the axle in respective positions above and below the fluid opening for sealing the connector.

    • A pipe connector for connecting a pair of conventional, circular cross-section pipes whose axes are generally coplanar but are angled relative to each other, is formed of a pair of identical, but reversely arranged, tubular sections, each having an outer end for coupling to an adjacent pipe end and an inner end coupled to the adjacent section inner end. The coupling comprises conventional, releasable, circular pipe couplings which surround and clamp adjacent pipe ends together. The connector sections are bent and flattened in cross-section so that their inner ends are engaged in the plane of the pipe axes while their outer end openings are transverse to the pipe axes and overlap and open into the ends of the pipes. The portions of the connector sections between their opposite ends are of cross-sectional areas that are roughly the same as the cross-sectional areas of their end openings. Because the connector sections are flattened towards the plane of the pipe axes, the overall, outermost distance of the connector from the pipe axes is only slightly greater than the radius of the pipes themselves.

    • A swivel connector between a hose reel and a source of product has a first body secured to the source of product and a second body secured to the hose reel. The first body has a plurality of stepped bores cooperating with various outer surfaces of the second body. A pair of non-metallic, non-corrosive bearings is disposed between two different stepped bores and two different outer surfaces with a seal ring disposed therebetween. A plastic thrust ring is disposed between a shoulder of the first body and a first surface of a thrust flange of the second body to absorb the thrust due to relative movement of the second body into the first body. The thrust flange has a second surface, which is parallel to the first surface, against which a first wear ring bears. The first wear ring has a plurality of balls bearing thereagainst on its side remote from the thrust flange. A retainer is supported on the first body and has a flange providing a surface against which a second wear ring abuts. The second wear ring also bears against the balls, which absorb the thrust due to relative movement of the second body out of the first body. The two non-metallic, non-corrosive bearings absorb the bending loads.
