摘要： A spherically constrained optical seeker assembly includes a spherical lens having an outer surface, an optical sensor assembly associated with the spherical lens, and a gimbal assembly. The optical sensor assembly is coupled to the gimbal assembly. The gimbal assembly is configured to move the optical sensor assembly to at least one desired position on the outer surface of the spherical lens. A method of manipulating the optical sensor assembly includes positioning the optical sensor assembly with respect to the spherical lens and moving the optical sensor assembly to at least one desired position with respect to the outer surface of the spherical lens by the gimbal assembly.

摘要： A method of conducting a strike against a target using a designator and a missile. The following steps are conducted: (i) the designator designates the target using a first signal, such as a laser; (ii) the missile detects the laser reflected off the target; (iii) after detecting the reflected laser, the missile emits a second signal, such as a LADAR signal, to designate the target; (iv) the missile tracks the so-designated target; (v) the designator detects the LADAR signal reflected off the target; and (vi) in response to detecting the reflected LADAR signal, the designator stops the designation of the target. This may enable the designator to perform other tasks, while the missile tracks and engages the target.

The launcher includes a guidance circuit configured to determine a flight path of the electro-shock projectile from the deployment tube to the recognized body portion of the target human. The launcher includes an activator circuit configured to initiate a launch from the deployment tube of the electro-shock projectile along the determined flight path in response a received authorization.

摘要： An apparatus and system for controlling the trajectory of a projectile having two rotationally decoupled sections, wherein the first section is rotationally decoupled from the second section. The first section of the projectile contains a navigation system. The first section also contains an actuator by which aero-control surfaces on the second section are actuated. The second section may have external aero-spin surfaces which provide a torque counter to the rotation of the base projectile. The apparatus and system also includes embodiments having applications for nose sections of projectiles.

摘要： The Compound Eye Laser Illumination Seeker is a tracking system used to guide items to point at a laser-illuminated target, with the illumination being either pulsed or modulated at either a specific rate or within a range of rates. The device comprises a multiaperture compound receiver optics to collect the signal, a set of light guides to combine the received light into light representing individual angular sectors and redirect it to detectors whose output represents the illumination signal in that quadrant, a spectral filter, an angle filter, the set of detectors, and processing electronics. The output is an electronic signal indicating the angular difference between the pointing direction of the signal and the pointing direction of the tracking device.

摘要： A pulse repetition frequency detector, tracker, and decoder includes a two-dimensional InGaAs FPA of photodetectors configured to convert laser signals into electrical signals. A ROIC is operatively connected to the InGaAs FPA to condition electrical signals from the InGaAs FPA. A module is operatively connected to the ROIC to decode pulsed codes in the conditioned electrical signals and to provide output for tracking decoded laser spots in two-dimensional space. In another aspect, an imaging device includes an imager with an imaging FPA operatively connected to a first ROIC for imaging. A pulse repetition frequency detector, tracker, and decoder including a second ROIC as described above, is operatively connected to the first ROIC. The first and second ROICs are operatively connected to correlate the position of decoded laser spots in images from the imaging FPA.
