摘要： A system and method for measuring resistance over an array. The array includes at least three electrodes. Nodes at each intersection between input electrodes and output electrodes have variable resistance. A driving voltage is applied to a selected input electrode and an output current is received at a selected output electrode. A selected node is at the intersection of the two selected electrodes and includes an electrical component with a resistive property. Remaining electrodes are connected with a ground for isolating the selected node from the effects of changes in impedance of the remaining nodes. The driving voltage is converted to an output current by resistance at the selected node. The output current is converted to an output voltage with a current-to-voltage converter circuit for measuring the resistance of the electrical component. The nodes may be measured as the selected node in sequential or non-sequential patterns.

摘要： Circuits are used to sense and compensate or mitigate the imbalance errors, hence restoring the intended benefits of differential processing. In particular, the impedance mismatch between the positive and negative branches of a balanced system is sensed by digitizing an error voltage developed by injecting suitable common mode stimuli. The mismatch is then trimmed out by introducing and properly setting up a digitally controlled impedance that counters the original impedance mismatch and hence rebalances the signal path on-situ and prior to exercising the signal processing chain.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for detecting a resonant frequency giving rise to an impedance peak in a power delivery network used to provide a supply voltage. The apparatus includes resonant frequency detection circuitry that comprises test frequency control circuitry and a loading circuit. The test frequency control circuitry is arranged to generate control signals to indicate a sequence of test frequencies. A loading circuit is controlled by the control signals and operates from the supply voltage. In particular, in response to each test frequency indicated by the control signals, the loading circuit draws a duty-cycled current load through the power delivery network at that test frequency. Operation of the loading circuit produces a measurable property whose value varies in dependence on the supply voltage, thus enabling the resonant frequency to be determined from a variation in the value of that measurable property.

The system includes, in one embodiment, a passive impedance controlling tuner, and a signal transmission line, the tuner including a signal transmission line segment as at least part of the signal transmission line. A signal coupling device is coupled in a non-contacting relationship to the signal transmission line between a signal port of the DUT and the tuner for sampling signals propagating between the passive impedance controlling tuner and the DUT to allow measurement of an actual impedance presented to the DUT with the DUT in place in the measurement system during measurement of DUT characteristics. Measurement system equipment receives response signals from the signal coupler. The measurement system is configured to conduct measurement of DUT characteristics without pre-characterizing the impedance controlling tuner.

Such measurements can yield a near-field distribution over a plurality of selected areas of the DUT, with each of the selected areas being smaller than an overall lateral area of the DUT. In some implementations, such a scanning system is utilized to facilitate applications such as electromagnetic (EM) shielding designs.

摘要： A reflectometer for use in measuring scattering (S-) parameters for a device under test (DUT) includes a test port, a radio frequency (RF) output signal source, and a local oscillator (LO) signal. The LO signal is used to downconvert the RF output signal to an incident IF signal. The reflectometer is useable as a master reflectometer with a slave reflectometer such that the master reflectometer provides the slave reflectometer with a synchronization signal to synchronize signals generated by the second reflectometer to the incident IF signal. Phase and magnitude of transmission S-parameters of the DUT are measurable when the reflectometer is used as the master reflectometer in combination with the slave reflectometer. The master reflectometer and the slave reflectometer can be reconfigurable to reverse the master/server roles of the reflectometers.

The detecting section measures the Q-factor by using the alternating-current signal from which the power transmission signal is removed.
