摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a stacking portion which is a part of a top surface of an exterior of the image forming apparatus. The stacking portion is positioned downstream of a discharging outlet in a discharging direction and on which the recording material discharged from the discharging outlet is stacked and includes a first surface on which the recording material discharged from the discharging outlet is stacked, and a second surface which is positioned outward with respect to the discharging outlet in a width direction orthogonal to the discharging direction. A supplying inlet is located below the first surface, wherein a downstream end of the first surface is positioned downstream of a downstream end of the second surface in the discharging direction, and wherein the first surface is rotatable to expose the supplying inlet.

摘要： A fixing device includes a fixing rotator rotatable in a predetermined direction of rotation and a pressure rotator to press against the fixing rotator to form a fixing nip therebetween, through which a recording medium bearing a toner image is conveyed. A rotation load applicator is coupled to one of the fixing rotator and the pressure rotator to apply a rotation load to the one of the fixing rotator and the pressure rotator. The rotation load is in a range of from 0.1 Nm to 0.6 Nm.

摘要： A developing cartridge is provided. The developing cartridge includes a first frame and a second frame and a layer thickness regulating member. The first frame and the second frame include a first welding surface formed at a periphery of the developer accommodating part correspondingly to a developer accommodating part; and a second welding surface extending continuously from the first welding surface correspondingly to a roller support part. The first welding surface extends in a direction orthogonal to an overlapping direction of the first frame and the second frame. The layer thickness regulating member is provided to cover the second welding surface from a side of the second frame in the overlapping direction.

摘要： A developing device using a one-component developer which includes colored fine synthetic resin toner particles. The device includes a vessel for holding the developer, and a developing roller rotatably provided within the vessel. A portion of the device is exposed therefrom and is resiliently pressed against a surface of a photosensitive drum. The toner particles are held by the surface of the developing roller to form a developer layer therearound, and are carried to the surface of the image formation drum for development of an electrostatic latent image formed thereon. The developing device further includes a blade member provided within the vessel and is resiliently engaged with the developing roller for regulating a thickness of the developer layer formed therearound. The blade member is such that a proper regulation of the developer layer can always be ensured. The blade member is pivotally provided within the vessel so as to be resiliently and tangentially engaged with the developing roller for regulating the thickness of the developer layer on the developing roller.

摘要： An image developing device for use in an electrophotographic copying apparatus or a printer includes a developing roller for supplying toner to a latent image formed on a latent image carrier to develop the latent image into a visible toner image. The image developing device also includes a toner supply roller independently rotatable in abutting engagement with the developing roller for supplying the toner onto the developing roller. Each of the toner supply roller and the developing roller is electrically conductive. An electric potential with its polarity dependent on whether the toner is positively or negatively chargeable is applied between the toner supply toner and the developing roller by a bias voltage distributing circuit.
