摘要： Provided is a system including sensors to measure objects to obtain first measurement values, respectively. A first server computes a correlation among the first measurement values based on the first measurement values. A proxy computes an actual measurement value of a second measurement value based on the first measurement values and a given function. A second server verifies the sensors by setting one or more sensors as verification target sensors in turn at predetermined timing. The second server computes a predicted value of the second measurement value based on the correlation and the first measurement values obtained from the other sensors except the verification target sensors among the plurality of sensors. The first or second servers and the proxy outputs the predicted value of the second measurement value instead of the actual measurement value thereof during the verification of the verification target sensors if an anomalous sensor is identified.

摘要： A method of monitoring the performance of a cutting tool which moves relative to a workpiece through a cycle includes the steps of dividing the cycle into a plurality of increments, sensing a function of force applied to the tool during the increments, mathematically smoothing the function of force sensed during the increments, and establishing a trend in the mathematically smoothed function of force for the plurality of increments. The mathematically smoothed function of force is compared with the established trend and if the mathematically smoothed function of force deviates substantially from the established trend a first signal is generated.

Measured values for the process variable (P) are recorded at predeterminable points in time. Temporally successive recorded measured values are combined to form a weighted measured value. A discrete measured value is assigned to each weighted measured value. Each weighted measured value that lies in a predeterminable tolerance band is assigned a same discrete measured value. A future temporal progression of the process variable (P) is estimated using a linear regression of the discrete measured values, and a point in time in which the process variable (P) reaches a predeterminable limit value is calculated.

The microprocessor is programmed to monitor load force imparted by a cutting tool over its lifetime. The microprocessor also monitors the number of times a cutting tool is used. By monitoring these parameters, the system provides a indication of when the cutting tool has exceeded its useful life. The control sysem also provides a graphical representation of the gear shaper. When an operational problem is sensed by sensors in the gear shaper, the graphical representation indicates where the problem has arisen.

摘要： A method of monitoring the performance of a tool which moves relative to a workpiece through a cycle and controlling the feed rate between the tool and the workpiece includes the steps of dividing the cycle into a plurality of increments, sensing a function of force applied to the tool during the increments, determining a mathematically smoothed function of force for the function of force for each sensed individual increment of the cycle and establishing a reference for the mathematically smoothed function of force for each of the sensed increments. The actual determined sensed mathematically smoothed function of force for a particular increment is compared with the established reference for that particular increment and a first signal is generated if the actual determined mathematically smoothed function of force deviates from the established reference. The feed rate between the tool and workpiece is modified in dependence upon the first signal.
