    • A motor controller controlling a rotational speed of a motor and including a thermal detector, a capacitor, an operational amplifier (OP), a charging/discharging circuit, a flip-flop and a logic circuit. The thermal detector detects environmental temperature of the motor to set a first reference voltage. The capacitor has one terminal coupled to a second reference voltage while another terminal thereof is charged/discharged by the charging/discharging circuit, controlled by a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, to provide a third reference voltage. The OP compares the first and third reference voltages and outputs the comparison result to a ‘set’ terminal of the flip-flop. The flip-flop further uses a ‘reset’ terminal to receive a clock signal and the output signal thereof is utilized in generating the PWM signal. The PWM signal is further provided to the logic circuit for setting a duty cycle of a driving current of the motor.

    • A fixing device includes a pair of rotating members, a heater, a detector, a calculator, a pulse width modulation circuit, and a controller. In at least one embodiment, the pair of rotating members is configured to fix a toner image on a recording medium. The heater is configured to heat at least one of the pair of rotating members to a process temperature when driven with an alternating current. The detector is configured to detect the process temperature. The calculator is configured to calculate an amount of heat to adjust the process temperature to a reference temperature. The pulse width modulation circuit is configured to generate a drive signal having a pulse width modulation cycle divided into first and second off times and an on time inserted therebetween. The controller is configured to control operation of the heater according to the drive signal.

    • A temperature control apparatus is suitable for use in devices such as consumer electronics devices having different thermal characteristics. According to an exemplary embodiment, the temperature control apparatus includes a fan having a field winding (F3) and a speed controller for providing a speed control signal to the field winding (F3) responsive to a first control signal to control a rotating speed of the fan. First and second terminals of the fan enable operating power to be provided to the field winding (F3) and the speed controller. At least one of the first and second terminals is operatively coupled to a first voltage source. A third terminal of the fan provides the first control signal to the speed controller, and is operatively coupled to a second voltage source. The temperature control apparatus further includes a temperature measuring circuit operative to measure a temperature and provide a temperature indicating signal indicating the measured temperature, a processor operative to provide a second control signal responsive to the temperature indicating signal, and control circuitry operative to provide the first control signal to the third terminal of the fan responsive to the second control signal.

    • The purpose of the present invention is to create a temperature control system applied in heating and cooling phases of thermal processing. The invented temperature control system consists of a single frequency converter F to whose output, through contactors, are simultaneously connected: at least one heating system and at least one cooling system. The heating system incorporating resistance heating elements R is actuated by the heating system contactor SG. The cooling system incorporating gas blower, 3-phases induction motor MD is actuated by the blower motor contactor SD. The heating and cooling system contactors (SG and SD) are connected to the output of the frequency converter F and are controlled by the temperature controller RT.

    • The present invention relates to a control system for establishing and maintaining a desired uniform temperature in a room heated by a heating device. The control system includes a valve assembly for controlling the pressure of the fluid supplied to the heating device, the valve assembly including a valve actuator, a pressure sensor sensing the pressure of the fluid supplied to the heater, and a temperature control device to sense the ambient temperature of the room. The control system also includes an electronic control unit connected to the aforementioned elements, the electronic control unit including an electronic circuit which samples nullopennull and nullclosenull input signals from the temperature control device, determines the rate of change of the pressure of the fluid from a predetermined pressure set point, and varies the pressure set point (which thereby varies the heating device output), according to the nullopennull or nullclosenull signals by providing a command signal to the valve actuator. This command signal is based upon a difference between the predetermined desired temperature and the actual temperature, and the rate of change of the pressure of the fluid.
