摘要： A process for authenticating a communication device may include receiving a request from a communication device to synchronize time with a server, and providing an authorization network time to the communication device. An authentication request including an access credential having a timestamp generated by the communication device may be received by the server. A determination can be made as to whether the communication device had successfully executed a predetermined shutdown sequence by determining whether the access credential has reliable timestamp information. The communication device can be authenticated when the timestamp has a non-reset value indicating that the communication device had successfully executed the predetermined shutdown sequence, and that the access credential has not expired. Step-up authentication for the communication device can be requested when the access credential has unreliable timestamp information indicating that the communication device did not successfully execute the predetermined shutdown sequence.

摘要： A security control system for a kinematic robot uses a cognitive assessment agent to map proposed instructions to either legitimate or illegitimate actions based on contextual variables. The agent computes a security anomaly index score representing a variance of a likely kinematic action of the robot compared to acceptable actions. If the score exceeds a predetermined threshold, a security alert is generated for the robot's administrator. The contextual variables include a user profile, a user location, and subject matter of the kinematic actions. The analysis compares input text to predefined classification metadata, and can also compare verbal phrases or body gestures to corresponding baselines. Different numeric weights can be applied to the contextual variables. The computing begins with a default value for the score and thereafter increments or decrements the score based on the weights. The weights can be adjusted based on a supervisory appraisal of the computed score.

摘要： Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for distorting a display coupled to a user device to bring the display into alignment with a gaze direction of a user of the user device. In certain scenarios, a user's gaze direction may not be aligned with a display of the user device. In such example scenarios, a user device determines a gaze direction of a user using, for example, camera means. When an event occurs, the user device determines one or more distortion elements to activate based at least in part on the gaze direction of the user. The user device then activates the distortion element(s) to cause the display of the device to distort to a position in which it is aligned with the gaze direction of the user. The distortion element(s) may be formed of an electroactive polymer configured to deform upon application of an electric field.

摘要： An information handling system operating a local inter-process communication securing system may comprise a memory and a processor executing machine readable code instructions of the local inter-process communication securing system performing a verification process of a candidate client application to instruct the candidate client application and a server application for which the local inter-process communication securing system acts as an API to establish a first named pipe having an endpoint address randomly generated by the local inter-process communication securing system, to receive a candidate client identification and a randomly generated string of alpha-numeric characters from the server application, and to instruct the server application to establish a first communication session, via the first named pipe, with the candidate client application upon determining the candidate client identification matches an authenticated client identification and that the randomly generated string of alpha-numeric characters is associated with the authenticated client identification, as stored at the local inter-process communication securing system, to verify that the candidate client application is the authenticated client application. Additionally, the authenticated client application may similarly verify a server application by only entering into the first communication session with the server application after receiving verification from a PKI that the server application is associated with a verified PKI certificate having an authentic signature.
