摘要： The present invention provides a migration apparatus that realizes safe migration of secret data between a first terminal device and a second terminal device. Before transmitting the secret data to the second terminal device, the migration apparatus (i) receives, from the first terminal device, a minimum evaluation level required of a destination of the secret data by the first terminal device, (ii) receives, from the second terminal device, an evaluation level of the second terminal device, (iii) judges whether the evaluation level of the second terminal device is lower than the minimum evaluation level, and (iv) sends the secret data to the second terminal device only if the evaluation level of the second terminal device is no lower than the minimum evaluation level.

摘要： Recoverable file information and file content are maintained for a plurality of files. Responsive to detecting a damaged file on a computer system, the recoverable file information is used to identify a specific instantiation of the file to be restored. The computer is searched for a non-damaged, local copy of the file. If a non-damaged, local copy is found, it is used to replace the damaged file. Otherwise, a difference file is created which identifies the sections of the damaged file that differ from a non-damaged specific instantiation thereof. Using the difference file and appropriate maintained file content, the relevant sections of the damaged file are rebuilt, thereby restoring it to its original condition.

摘要： The present invention provides systems and methods for electronic commerce including secure transaction management and electronic rights protection. Electronic appliances such as computers employed in accordance with the present invention help to ensure that information is accessed and used only in authorized ways, and maintain the integrity, availability, and/or confidentiality of the information. Secure subsystems used with such electronic appliances provide a distributed virtual distribution environment (VDE) that may enforce a secure chain of handling and control, for example, to control and/or meter or otherwise monitor use of electronically stored or disseminated information. Such a virtual distribution environment may be used to protect rights of various participants in electronic commerce and other electronic or electronic-facilitated transactions. Secure distributed and other operating system environments and architectures, employing, for example, secure semiconductor processing arrangements that may establish secure, protected environments at each node. These techniques may be used to support an end-to-end electronic information distribution capability that may be used, for example, utilizing the “electronic highway.”

A PC memorizes backup of distributed music contents on a hard disc, at the same time as it transmits the using log information of the music contents stored in the hard disc to an EMD server. If the music contents in the hard disc are destroyed, the PC acquires the using log information from the EMD server to reproduce the backup data memorized in the hard disc depending on the using log information.
