摘要： An individualization station has a supply deck for supplying flat goods to a goods processing apparatus following in the transport path in the transport direction x of a Cartesian coordinate system, with openings in the supply deck for a drum in an individualization region, and with individualization assembly as well as with a contact pressure box. The contact pressure box is movable in the z-direction, and has a linkage that is pivotable at a downstream end. An individualization assembly carrier forms an L-shape at an upstream end of the linkage that is pivotable in the contact pressure box. A stop side of the undeflected individualization assembly carrier is aligned parallel to the y/z-plane and extends counter to a y-direction. The individualization assembly carrier can be deflected above the supply deck at a variable distance corresponding to the thickness of the flat good to be individualized, and is adjustable in the y-direction and counter thereto by an adjustment assembly.

摘要： A printing apparatus has a transport module with a moving transport belt that transports strip-like print media past a printhead for printing thereon. The transport module has an entrance region upstream of the printhead, a magazine for the strip-like media located upstream of the entrance region of the transport module, the transport belt also serves as a take-off device to remove the strip-like media from the magazine, the magazine is mounted laterally offset with respect to the transport belt, thereby causing the strip-like media to be captured by the transport belt only in an edge region of the transport belt. The transport belt is wider by the edge region than is precisely needed to transport the strip-like media, in order to print on a remaining region of the strip-like media, which is smaller by the edge region than a total width of said strip-like media.

摘要： A mailing machine is provided for processing mailpiece envelopes including a housing having a transport deck adapted to convey an envelope along a feed path and a receiving station. The mailing machine is reconfigurable to perform one of two mailpiece processing operations by alternately selecting or activating one of two mailpiece modules/assemblies. A first processing module/assembly is disposed along the feed path and is operative to moisten a glue line disposed along an envelope flap during the first mailpiece processing operation. The second processing module assembly is disposed along the feed path and is adapted to cut and open an edge of the envelope during the second mailpiece processing operation. Further, a mechanism for interchangeably receiving one of the first and second the processing modules/assemblies within the receiving station to perform the processing operations.

摘要： A franking machine control panel and its associated method provide users with touch screen displays in which the main screens contain history tabs. When a history tab is pressed, the display reverts to the previous status of the category of interest, and allows the user to make changes if desired. In the preferred embodiment, the history tabs allow users to view and modify information which is mandatory to the franking process, such as the mail class and postage rates. Another aspect of the present invention allows the user to configure the more actively used buttons of touch screen on one side or the other, depending on the dominant side of the user's body.
