摘要： The present technology relates to a signal processing apparatus, a signal processing method, and a program by which, in reproducing transmitted encoded data in real time, buffer overflow can be prevented from occurring on a reception apparatus side even if it is transmitted with a compression rate of the encoded data being varied in a manner that depends on communication condition. Encoded data including transmitted audio data is buffered by a reception buffer. At this time, the quantity of encoded data buffered by the reception buffer is managed in units of processing according to an encoding method. The present technology is applicable to a real-time content reproduction system utilizing a communication system.

摘要： To read data from a storage medium, a magnetization map of the data stored on at least one portion of the storage medium is obtained. The magnetization map is analyzed to obtain intermediate data corresponding to the data stored on the at least one portion of storage medium. Further, the intermediate data is converted into the user data based on format emulation of a data storage format of the storage medium. The conversion of the intermediate data includes decrypting the intermediate data to obtain the user data.

摘要： A hybrid drive and associated methods increase the rate at which data are transferred to a nonvolatile storage medium in the hybrid drive. By using a large nonvolatile solid state memory device as cache memory for a magnetic disk drive, a very large number of write commands can be cached and subsequently reordered and executed in an efficient manner. In addition, strategic selection and reordering of only a portion of the write commands stored in the nonvolatile solid state memory device increases efficiency of the reordering process.

Each read head in the plurality of read heads reads a different portion of the first group of the multiple tracks, and where each different portion of the multiple tracks overlaps at least one other different portion of the multiple tracks. Signals are detected from the plurality of read heads, and the detected signals are decoded.
