    • A lockout system that includes a lock portion and a key portion that removably cooperate with one another to allow selective interference with a throw lever associated with operation of an electrical panel. The lock portion and key portion each include a guide arrangement and an electrical interface that cooperate with one another. The guide arrangements cooperate with one another to align the electrical interfaces of the respective key and lock portions. The lock portion includes a movable lock arm that selectively interferes with motion of the throw lever. The position of the lock arm relative to the throw lever can be manipulated when the electrical interfaces of the key portion and the lock portion are engaged with one another. Preferably, the lock and key interface includes an RFID protocol associated with authorizing respective key portions to communicate with respective lock portions.

    • A coded wireless sensor unit has a slot sized to receive a key card. When a key card is inserted into the slot, the act of insertion generates a energy-harvested power pulse, which powers circuitry that reads electrical device control information coded on the key card and creates a first information packet signal that is transmitted by an on-board transmitter. The signal can be read by a receiver and relayed to a control unit which controls certain electrical devices which consume line power in response to received information packet signals. The control unit decodes received information packet signals and either turns on or activates the electrical devices in accordance with the decoded device control information. Removal of a key card can also be used to generate a power pulse, which creates a second information packet signal that is used to turn off or deactivate the electrical devices.

    • Disclosed is an apparatus for selectively permitting electricity to flow to a power tool having a power cord. The apparatus comprises a body having an exterior surface and having a passage therethrough. The passage contains an electrical relay having an electrical input side and an electrical output side. A switch on the exterior surface of the body selectively closes the electrical relay upon activation by a user. A mounting portion on the body is adapted for securing the body to the power tool and a power receiving portion in the body receives the power cord of the power tool. The mounting portion has transfer wires associated therewith in electrical connection between the output side of the relay and a power switch of the power tool. The power cord is in electrical connection with the electrical input side of the relay.

    • A safety switch control mechanism includes a linkage and a safety control key. The linkage has a bracket mounted to an instrument panel of an exerciser and a wheel thereof rotatably mounted to the bracket. The instrument panel includes a keyhole located at an opposite side thereof to the bracket. The wheel has at least one hook portion formed at an outer periphery thereof, and a holding portion and a releasing portion formed at one side thereof. The safety control key has a through hole for engaging said at hook portion. When the safety control key is inserted into or pulled away from the keyhole, the sidewall of the through hole forces clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the wheel to further shift the releasing portion for contact against a micro switch mounted to the instrument panel, and thus the micro switch is driven to switch on or off the power supply of the exerciser.
