    • The present disclosure relates to a circuit breaker having a compact contact assembly structure, including a stationary portion; and a movable portion to be contact with or to be separated from the stationary portion, wherein the movable portion includes a puffer cylinder configured to temporarily store a compressible fluid; a moving main contact assembled to an end of the puffer cylinder; and a moving nozzle inserted into the moving main contact, and the moving main contact includes an internal protrusion protruded in a radial direction and separated in a circumferential direction from an inner surface thereof, and the moving nozzle includes an external protrusion protruded in a radial direction and separated in a circumferential direction on an external surface thereof, and the internal and external protrusions are alternately coupled to the puffer cylinder, respectively, by a fastening member along the circumferential direction.

    • A puffer-type gas blast circuit breaker is capable of restraining reduction in creepage insulation resistance of an insulating support and an insulating rod due to insulating gas of high temperature. An electrode section is mounted on a stationary member supported on an insulating support, and a stationary side arc contact and moving side arc contact are disposed facing each other to contact and separate; a hollow piston rod and an insulating rod are connected to the moving side arc contact, and inserted in a stationary member body portion; and a gas flow blocking member is mounted on an end of the piston rod to prevent an insulating gas heated and coming to the stationary side from getting into the insulating rod side. The stationary member body portion is formed cylindrical so that a gap between the body portion of the stationary member and the gas flow blocking member is minimized.

    • A puffer type gas circuit breaker having at least one pair of a stationary contact and a movable contact capable of being separated from each other, a pressure producing section including a puffer cylinder and a puffer piston. The puffer cylinder is connected to the movable contact and serves to compress an arc extinguishing gas blown to an arc generated between the contacts at the time of current breaking. The breaker also has a cover surrounding the movable contact, an insulated nozzle extending from the puffer cylinder and surrounding the cover and the stationary contact to form a flow passage through which the compressed gas is supplied from the puffer cylinder to the generated arc, and a flow straightening member provided in said flow passage. The flow straightening member extends from the puffer cylinder and is mounted on the cover, and the flow passage has an expanded section having a gas flow sectional area larger than that of the section of the flow passage upstream of the expanded section.
