摘要： A magnetic isolator includes a dielectric film having a layer of electrically-conductive soft magnetic material bonded thereto. The layer of electrically-conductive soft magnetic material comprises substantially coplanar electrically-conductive soft magnetic islands separated one from another by gaps. At least some of the gaps are filled with an inorganic dielectric material. The gaps at least partially suppress electrical eddy current induced within the layer of soft magnetic material when in the presence of applied external magnetic field. An electronic device including the magnetic isolator and a method of making the magnetic isolator are also disclosed.

摘要： A family of Radar energy Absorbing Deformable Low Drag Vortex Generators (RAD-LDVG) is described herein. This family of devices are fabricated in such a way that it can conform to aircraft surface features while reducing radar returns from structural details. Vortex generators (VGs) are typically used to reattach or smooth gross flowfields over aircraft surfaces. By doing so, an airfoil or wing can maintain attached flow at higher angles of attack and/or higher lift coefficients than one without the VGs. These devices are also used to reattach and/or smooth flows that encounter crossflow-induced instabilities and/or adverse pressure gradients on the upper surfaces of wings or near aircraft boattails. Other uses include reduction of buffet, vibration, flutter, cavity resonance or general bluff-body pressure drag reduction. Although conventional rigid VGs do generate vortical aerodynamic structures, two major problems are often experienced: i.) the inability to conform to curved surfaces, ii.) the generation of radar cross-section spikes produced by the VGs themselves.

摘要： An electromagnetic noise suppression sheet obtained by using combination of a conductive carbon and spinel ferrite particles having a cumulative 50% volume particle diameter of 1 to 10 μm, can exhibit an excellent transmission attenuation power ratio and a reduced return loss in a near electromagnetic field, and is suitable for high-density mounting. The electromagnetic noise suppression sheet of the present invention can be produced by the process of the present invention which includes the steps of applying a coating material in which the conductive carbon and the spinel ferrite particles having a cumulative 50% volume particle diameter of 1 to 10 μm are dispersed, to form a coating film having a thickness of 10 to 100 μm after dried, and subjecting the resulting coating film to thermoforming under pressure.

摘要： The invention concerns a method for production of an absorber for microwaves, consisting of a packing of expanded polystyrene elements (EPS elements), on which a coating of ferrimagnetic particles is applied, and an absorber produced accordingly. According to the method, an enclosure of synthetic polymers formed on the EPS elements and a polymer matrix, in which the ferrimagnetic particles are embedded, is applied. The coated EPS elements are introduced to a mold and a water vapor stream introduced. The EPS elements expand through the vapor pressure of the residual fraction of pentane in the EPS elements and assume their final size and shape.The absorber produced with the method consists of a packing of EPS elements, which are coated with a ferrimagnetic powder within a polymer matrix, and whose outer structure corresponds to a processing mold.
