    • A backshell assembly that includes a housing configured to terminate a cable that has a main body defining a central longitudinal axis and a connector interface for mating with an electrical connector. At least one adjustment extension extends from the main body opposite the connector interface and substantially parallel to the central longitudinal axis. An adjustable strain relief structure is coupleable to the cable and the housing. The adjustable strain relief structure includes at least one adjustment member coupleable to the cable that cooperates with the adjustment extension of the housing such that the adjustment member is moveable between different cable positions with respect to the central longitudinal axis of the housing. A biasing member is disposed between the at least one adjustment member and the at least one adjustment extension of the main body. The biasing member biases the at least one adjustment member into engagement with the at least one adjustment extension.

    • A connector for a coaxial cable including a base member having forward and rearward ends and a central bore into which the cable is inserted. A stop is provided in the bore for limiting the insertion of the cable. A transverse screw secures the cable in the bore when at the stop. A housing having forward and rearward ends surrounds a plug connector. The plug connector includes a signal conductor having a needle like projection extending rearward and a ground contact insulated from the signal conductor and including a knife edge projection extending rearward. The housing and base member are threadably connected to each other so that as they are drawn together during assembly, the needle-like projection and the knife edge projection extend into the bore of the base member rearward of the stop and engage the coaxial cable in the bore of the base member.

    • A connector assembly suitable for use with armored cables is disclosed. The coupling comprises a substantially rigid electrically conductive sleeve that is received over an end of a cable and is retained thereto by one or more set screws that form an electrical connection from the armor of a cable to the sleeve. A contact holder is received within the end of the sleeve and a substantially rigid jacket is molded over the sleeve and a portion of the cable received therein. A slip ring is placed around the sleeve between a shoulder of the jacket and a flange formed in the end of the sleeve. The slip ring has a groove formed in its exterior surface that mates with a retaining ridge formed in the interior of a coupling nut that is received over the sleeve. A secure, sturdy and reliable ground connection is formed through the coupling from the armor of the cable through the set screw to the sleeve and slip ring received thereover and finally to the coupling nut of the connector assembly.
