摘要： An electrical connector includes a metal body, signal terminals, and insulating blocks. The metal body has a mating cavity and accommodating slots. Each accommodating slot has a first metal wall and a second metal wall vertically opposite to each other and two third metal walls opposite to each other in a left-right direction. The second metal wall is provided with an opening. The accommodating slots are in communication with the mating cavity through the opening. Each signal terminal has a main body portion and an elastic arm. The main body portion is wrapped by an insulating member. The elastic arm is accommodated in a corresponding accommodating slot. The elastic arm includes a contact portion. The opening is reserved for the contact portion such that the contact portion enters the mating cavity. The insulating blocks pass forward beyond the rear wall. The insulating blocks are accommodated in the accommodating slots.

摘要： A shielding shell used to at least partially surround signal terminals includes a first side wall, a second side wall and a third side wall. The second side wall connects the first side wall and the third side wall. The first side wall and the third side wall are disposed face to face. An end of at least one of the first side wall, the second side wall and the third side wall includes a deflection portion bent inwardly. The deflection portion is used to guide insertion of the shielding shell into a mating connector. As a result, a better shielding effect on the signal terminals can be provided. Besides, it is easy to guide insertion of the shielding shell into the mating connector.

摘要： A backplane connector includes a number of first conductive terminals, an insulating bracket, a first metal shield and a second metal shield. The first conductive terminal includes a first mating portion, a first tail portion and a first connection portion. The first conductive terminals include first differential signal terminals, a first ground terminal and a second ground terminal. The first mating portion, the first connection portion and the first tail portion extend along a mating direction so that the structural design of the conductive terminal is simplified. The first metal shield, the second metal shield, the first mating portion of the first grounding terminal and the first mating portion of the second grounding terminal are enclosed to form a shielding space. The first mating portions of the first differential signal terminals are located in the shielding space.

摘要： A backplane connector assembly includes a first backplane connector and a second backplane connector. The first backplane connector includes a number of first conductive terminals, a first insulating bracket, a first metal shield, a second metal shield and a shielding space. The second backplane connector includes a second terminal module. Each second terminal module includes mating terminals mated with the first conductive terminals and a shielding shell surrounding a periphery of the mating terminals. The shielding shell is received in the shielding space. As a result, the backplane connector assembly of the present disclosure reduces crosstalk and improves the quality of signal transmission.

摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing. The contacts are arranged with upper contacts in the upper row and lower contacts in the lower row. The upper contacts include the grounding contacts and the signal contacts as well as the lower contacts. A metallic shielding plate is located between the upper contacts and the lower contacts. The metallic shielding plate forms a plurality of holes. In each hole, there are upper spring beam and lower spring beam respectively contacting the front contacting sections of the grounding contacts in the upper row and in the lower row.

摘要： A dual orientation connector having a connector tab with first and second major opposing sides and a plurality of electrical contacts carried by the connector tab. The plurality of contacts includes a first set of external contacts formed at the first major side and a second set of external contacts formed at the second major side. Each individual contact in the first plurality of contacts is electrically connected within the tab or body to a corresponding contact in the second plurality of contacts. In some embodiments contacts in the first and second pluralities of contacts that are directly opposite each other are coupled together. In some other embodiments, contacts in the first and second pluralities of contacts that are in a cater cornered relationship with each other are coupled together. The first plurality of contacts are symmetrically spaced with the second plurality of contacts and the connector tab is shaped to have 180 degree symmetry so that it can be inserted and operatively coupled to a corresponding receptacle connector in either of two insertion orientations.
