摘要： A brush lead guide for a brush holder assembly configured to retain the leads extending from a brush in a desired position/orientation to ensure the leads do not interfere with movement of the brush within the brush holder. In some instances, the lead guide includes a first guide rail including a channel for receiving a first lead of the brush and a second guide rail including a channel for receiving a second lead from the brush. The lead guide maintains the leads in a position such that the leads are held within the width of the opening of the brush holder to ensure the leads do not interfere with movement of the brush within the brush holder during use of the brush holder assembly.

摘要： A windscreen wiper motor with a housing is disclosed. In the housing, an armature shaft with a commutator is arranged, which cooperates with carbon elements arranged in the region of a carbon holder plate in carbon holder elements, which carbon elements are connected via electrical connections, in the form of strands, in an electrically conducting manner with voltage supply lines. An electrical connection and a voltage supply line are in a fixed manner in their respective end region in respectively a clamping holder element, where the clamping holder element is part of the carbon holder element.

摘要： A brush holder assembly for an alternator having a rotational axis includes a pair of brushes each having a contacting surface defining a width and a height, and each having a shunt wire extending laterally from the brush in the widthwise direction. The brush holder assembly includes a housing having first and second brush chambers, corresponding first and second wire cavities each defining a cavity height, and first and second slots respectively interposed between the corresponding chamber and cavity. The respective shunt wires extend through the first and second slots then through the first and second wire cavities. The cavity heights are each at least approximately 0.9 times the height of one of the brushes. The height of the first wire cavity is less than approximately 0.97 times ((A/2) plus B), wherein A is the brush height and B is the distance between the brushes.

摘要： A brush holder assembly for a dynamo-electric machine includes a brush fixture snap-fittingly secured to a shielding fixture. A brush member is moveably mounted within the brush fixture and includes a recessed region, and a shunt member. The shunt member includes a first end operatively connected to the brush member at the recessed region that extends through an intermediate region to a second end. A constant force spring is operatively connected between the second end section of the brush and the brush fixture. The brush holder assembly also includes a shunt retainer mounted in the brush fixture abutting the brush member. The shunt retainer includes a first leg portion, a second leg portion and a base portion. The shunt retainer is configured to maintain proper alignment of the constant force spring and prevent entanglement of the shunt member.
