    • An electric power distributor comprises a distributor housing, conversion parts which convert electric current from outside of the distributor housing to low-voltage alternating current, a transformer which transforms the low-voltage alternating current from the conversion parts to high-voltage alternating current and a power transmission part which transmits the high-voltage alternating current from the transformer to the outward distributor housing. The distributor housing comprises two conversion parts—and the power transmission part—inside. The transformer is attached to the distributor housing from outside. The transformer and the power transmission part are placed along a predetermined direction in this order, the two conversion parts are placed along a direction approximately orthogonal to the predetermined direction at an opposite side to the transformer with regards to the power transmission part.

    • A power transfer system includes a power transmission device and a power reception device which are capacitively coupled to allow electrical conduction therethrough in the manner of alternating current. The power transmission device includes an active electrode, a passive electrode, a step-up transformer, and a high-frequency voltage generating circuit. The power reception device includes an active electrode, a passive electrode, and a load circuit. A divider for voltage division based on load capacitances (C1 and C2) is provided between the active electrode and the passive electrode. The active electrode and the passive electrode have respective equivalent capacitances to ground (Ca and Cp) relative to the ground potential. A ground leakage current Ig is minimized by adjusting the values of the respective capacitances in an equivalent circuit so as to satisfy the relationship: C2/C1=Cp/Ca.

    • Methods and systems for transforming electric power between two or more portals. Any or all portals can be DC, single phase AC, or multi-phase AC. Conversion is accomplished by a plurality of bi-directional conducting and blocking semiconductor switches which alternately connect an inductor and parallel capacitor between said portals, such that energy is transferred into the inductor from one or more input portals and/or phases, then the energy is transferred out of the inductor to one or more output portals and/or phases, with said parallel capacitor facilitating “soft” turn-off, and with any excess inductor energy being returned back to the input. Soft turn-on and reverse recovery is also facilitated. Said hi-directional switches allow for two power transfers per inductor/capacitor cycle, thereby maximizing inductor/capacitor utilization as well as providing for optimum converter operation with high input/output voltage ratios. Control means coordinate the switches to accomplish the desired power transfers.
