摘要： A receiver front end having low noise amplifiers (LNAs) is disclosed herein. A cascode having a “common source” configured input FET and a “common gate” configured output FET can be turned on or off using the gate of the output FET. A first switch is provided that allows a connection to be either established or broken between the source terminal of the input FET of each LNA. A drain switch is provided between the drain terminals of input FETs to place the input FETs in parallel. This increases the gm of the input stage of the amplifier, thus improving the noise figure of the amplifier.

摘要： A filter includes a series arm circuit connected between an input-output terminal and an input-output terminal and a parallel arm circuit connected between a ground and a node. The parallel arm circuit includes a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit has a parallel arm resonator. The second circuit is connected in parallel with the first circuit and has a parallel arm resonator. At least one of the first and second circuits includes a variable frequency circuit. The variable frequency circuit is connected in series with the parallel arm resonator or the parallel arm resonator included in the corresponding one of the first and second circuits. The variable frequency circuit has an impedance element and a switch connected in parallel with each other. The parallel arm resonator has a resonant frequency different from the parallel arm resonator and an anti-resonant frequency different from the parallel arm resonator.

A compensation circuit can generate a compensation signal based at least partly on an amount of time that an amplifier, such as a power amplifier, is turned off between successive transmission bursts of the amplifier. For example, the compensation circuit can charge a capacitor based at least partly on an amount of time that the amplifier is turned off between successive transmission bursts and generate the compensation signal based at least partly on an amount of charge stored on the capacitor. A bias circuit can receive the compensation signal, generate a bias signal based at least partly on the compensation signal, and provide the bias signal to the amplifier to bias the amplifier.

摘要： A class-D amplifier includes an error amplification circuit, a duty signal generator, a level selection circuit, a driver and control block and an output stage. The class-D amplifier divides peal levels of an error signal into multi-level and changes a scheme for modulating the error signal when the error signal crosses each level boundary of the multi-level thereby to have an effect such as the error signal is folded. Therefore, the class-D amplifier drives output nodes with multi-level and thus the class-D amplifier may increasing efficiency while reducing EMI.

In certain configurations, a wireless device includes a multi-mode power amplifier including a plurality of amplification paths electrically connected in parallel with one another. The plurality of amplification paths includes a first amplification path including an input stage of a first stage type and an output stage of a second stage type, and a second amplification path including an output stage of the second stage type. The first stage type provides non-inverting gain and the second stage type provides inverting gain. The wireless device further includes a transceiver that provides a radio frequency signal to the multi-mode power amplifier, and that operates the multi-mode power amplifier in a selected power mode chosen from a plurality of power modes based on selectively activating one or more of the plurality of amplification paths.

摘要： Amplifiers with noise splitting to improve noise figure are disclosed. In an exemplary design, an apparatus (e.g., a wireless device, an integrated circuit, etc.) includes a plurality of amplifier circuits and at least one interconnection circuit. The amplifier circuits receive an input radio frequency (RF) signal. The interconnection circuit(s) are coupled between the plurality of amplifier circuits. Each interconnection circuit is closed to short the outputs or internal nodes of two amplifier circuits coupled to that interconnection circuit. The plurality of amplifier circuits may include a plurality of gain circuits coupled to a plurality of current buffers, one gain circuit and one current buffer for each amplifier circuit. Each amplifier circuit provides an output current, which may include a portion of the current from each of the plurality of gain circuits when the plurality of amplifier circuits are enabled.
