摘要： An operational amplifier includes an input stage configured to receive a first input voltage and a second input voltage and a slew boost circuit coupled to the input stage and configured to selectively increase current through the input stage. The operational amplifier also includes an output stage coupled to the input stage and configured to generate an output voltage, and a slew boost disable circuit configured to assert a control signal to the slew boost circuit to disable the slew boost circuit. The slew boost circuit is disabled when both: the first input voltage being more than a first threshold voltage different from the second input voltage and the output voltage failing to change by more than a second threshold rate.

The impedance matching network generally comprises a first port, a second port, and a third port. The first switch circuit may be coupled between the first port and a circuit ground potential. The impedance matching network generally provides a first impedance value for the first port and for the third port when the second port is connected to the circuit ground potential. The impedance matching network generally provides a second impedance value for the second port and for the third port when the first port is connected to the circuit ground potential. The first impedance value and the second impedance value are asymmetrical.

摘要： A semiconductor integrated circuit including a differential amplifier circuit, a first output circuit, a second output circuit, a selection circuit, and a feedback circuit. The differential amplifier circuit is configured to operate at a first source voltage. The second output circuit is configured to receive an output of the differential amplifier circuit, output a second output, and operate at a second source voltage lower than the first source voltage. The selection circuit is configured to select one of the first output from the first output circuit and the second output from the second output circuit according to an operating phase determined by an external control signal. The feedback circuit is connected between the differential amplifier circuit and the selection circuit. The feedback circuit is configured to feed the selected output back to the differential amplifier circuit.

摘要： A driver that drives an optical device, such as laser diode (LD) and/or optical modulator, is disclosed. The driver includes a variable gain amplifier (VGA) and a post amplifier. The post amplifier amplifies an output of the VGA to a preset amplifier as varying the gain of the VGA. The VGA includes two differential pairs each amplify the input signal oppositely in phases thereof and outputs of the differential pairs are compositely provided to the post amplifier. The gain of the VGA is varied by adjusting contribution of the second differential pair to the output of the VGA.

摘要： A transformer based power amplifier introducing leakage inductance to extend a working bandwidth thereof and corresponding design methodology are provided. An ultra-wideband transformer comprises a primary coil, a secondary coil mutual coupling with the primary coil, a primary tuning capacitor coupled with the primary coil in parallel and a secondary tuning capacitor coupled with the secondary coil in parallel. By means of setting a self-inductance of the primary coil, a self-inductance of the secondary coil, a mutual coupling factor between the primary coil and the secondary coil, a capacitance value of the primary tuning capacitor, and a capacitance value of the secondary tuning capacitor, a 3 dB bandwidth of the transformer covers a first mutual resonated frequency and a second mutual resonated frequency formed by the transformer. This is also applicable to single-stage or transformer coupled multi-stage amplifier design, and to multi-coil coupled implementations, such as transformer-based power combiner power amplifiers.

A second reference generator is operatively coupled to the linearizing amplifier by a second reference node, and is configured to cause an optimal linearizing amplifier output current for each of a plurality of temperatures. In one such case, the second reference generator is configured to cause an optimal linearizing amplifier output current for each of a plurality of temperatures based on a corresponding optimal ratio of main amplifier output current and linearizing amplifier output current. The linearizing amplifier may be configured with a tunable current source that is controlled by the second reference generator, or a current source having a fixed total transistor area (not tunable).
