摘要： The present invention discloses a method of dual stack access, wherein a network device authenticates the first protocol address of a requesting client, stores the user name, first protocol address, and address status information of the client in the user information table if the authentication succeeds, assigns a second protocol address to the client, stores this second protocol address and address status information in the user information table, generates control rules for the client according to its user information, and controls dual stack access of the client according to the rules. This invention provides effective authentication-based access control of dual stack users.

摘要： A device receives Internet protocol (IP) traffic flow data from network devices of a wireless network, groups the network devices into sets based on the IP traffic flow data, and estimates, based on the sets, information associated with the network devices. The device also groups the network devices into clusters based on the estimated information, ranks the clusters, and assigns IP address pools to each of the network devices based on the ranked clusters. The device further provides the assigned IP address pools to authorization, authentication, accounting (AAA) devices of the wireless network.

摘要： An internetwork (such as the Internet) telephony system and method incorporating architecture and methodology which facilitates a high degree of scalability. The scalability provides improvement dealing with usage recording, usage pricing, billing account management, and fraud control. The scalability is achieved primarily by bundling of usage recording, pricing, authorization and billing practices in one logical database object which may be physically distributed. A predefined set of network elements are provided access to the database object to obtain authorization for a call along with limitations on the maximum cost or duration of the call for the particular account involved. The database object records usage statistics relating to the completed call, including pricing, and this data is available for virtually immediate billing. The database object provides to customers on a virtual real time basis the customer's usage statistics, including statistics for a call in progress. The operation proceeds in the following manner. Each Internet telephone service subscriber will have at least one billing and authorization account maintained in a database on the Internet. During set-up of a call, the hop-off gateway will obtain identification and password information from the caller. The gateway then communicates with the database to determine if the call is authorized and to negotiate the overall billing algorithm. When the call if finished, the gateway will report usage data to the database for billing purposes.

摘要： In general, techniques are described for informing services nodes of private network address information in order to apply subscriber-aware services with the services node. In some examples, a services node includes an Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) interface to receive a AAA message, wherein the AAA message has been extended from a AAA protocol to specify a private network address of a subscriber device authenticated to an access network by the AAA server and assigned the private network address that is not routable external to the access network. A mapping module associates the public network address of subscriber data traffic with the private network address received by the AAA message. One or more service modules select one or more of a plurality of subscriber policies using the associated private network address and apply services to the subscriber data traffic in accordance with the selected subscriber policies.

摘要： A method and apparatus is provided to control the admission of a user to a network by preventing a port through which the user connects to the network from forwarding data packets until the user is authorized. A network login controller operates in conjunction with a user interface to receive a user identification data from the port user. The network login controller further operates in conjunction with an authorization server to authenticate the user by sending a user authentication request containing the user identification data to the authentication server. The network login controller grants or denies permission to the user to access the network based on the user authentication response from the authentication server. If permission is granted, then the network login controller unblocks the port through which the user is connected to place it in packet-forwarding mode. If permission is denied, then the port remains in packet non-forwarding mode (i.e. it remains blocked).

摘要： A request for establishing an IP session from a mobile device to be activated and connected to a cellular network is redirected to a web portal or platform of the cellular network. When the mobile device sends an authentication request for requesting establishment of an IP session to the cellular network, the mobile device receives a restricted IP address from the cellular network if the mobile device is not currently authorized for communication via the cellular network. A reverse domain name system lookup is performed on the restricted IP address to find a host name of a web portal or platform of the cellular network corresponding to the restricted IP address. The mobile device determines whether or not redirection of an IP communication request to the web portal or platform of the cellular network is to occur based on the host name.

In an aspect of the disclosure, a data link is established with the access terminal, and a request to authenticate the access terminal is provided to an authentication/authorization server.
