摘要： Method and system for processing a request associated with a user from a requesting node to an answering node in a telecommunications network. A repository is associated with the answering node, the repository including a data structure including a plurality of user profiles associated with a plurality of users. In the answering node a user profile of the plurality of user profiles is associated with the user. The method comprising the steps of assigning a unique user index to each user profile in the data structure, wherein the user index is representative of the location of the user profile within the data structure, communicating at least one user index to the requesting node, incorporating the user index in the request by the requesting node, transmitting the request from the requesting node to the answering node, and retrieving the user profile associated with the user associated with the request by the answering node on the basis of the user index.

The method performs a static registration of the AEP device in a plurality of network elements associated with an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network by provisioning. The method then processes an originating call request or a terminating call request associated with the AEP device using the static registration.

摘要： In one aspect, the invention provides a method, and associated apparatus for re-registering a contact address of a user of an IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, network. A request for re-registration of the contact address is received at a Serving-Call Session Control Function, S-CSCF, node serving the user. After a determination that the S-CSCF has no stored information relating to the contact address, a request is sent to a Home Subscriber Server, HSS, of the user to register the contact address information. The HSS detects if the contact address information relating to the user has already been backed-up by the HSS, and notifies the node serving the user of registered contact address information backed-up by the HSS. Another aspect provides a method and associated apparatus for de-registering a registered contact address of a user of an IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, network.

After selecting an access mode according to a certain policy, a routing decision entity correspondingly instructs a routing execution entity to perform a call connection in the selected access mode. The method for providing access mode selection to multimode terminal includes the following steps: (1) when establishing a registration connection, a terminal notifies related information of a current access network type to a network side; and (2) when performing a call connection to a called party, a routing decision entity on the network side selects the access mode and correspondingly instructs a routing execution entity to perform the call connection according to the related information and the selected access mode.

摘要： A service request (SRV) comprising a second identifier belonging to a collection of identifiers identified by a first identifier (WPSI-I) is rejected or allowed to proceed depending on whether the current usage data stored in relationship with the first identifier reaches a value established by usage limit data stored in relationship with said first identifier. Current usage data is updated according to service requests comprising a second identifier belonging to said collection and allowed to proceed. The usage limit data can state maximum number of simultaneous communications, or maximum number of second identifiers belonging to said collection, and can be dynamically updated according to traffic load conditions in an apparatus of the telecommunications system. The invention prevents overloading resources in telecommunications systems when the number of eventual users can not be foreseen.
