摘要： An image reading apparatus includes: a first size-detecting portion which detects a size of an original disposed on a disposing portion; a conveying portion which conveys the original disposed on the disposing portion to a reading portion, a second size-detecting portion which detects the size of the original to be conveyed by the conveying portion; a controller which calculates an overlap region between a reading region and an original region, with the reading region determined based on a reading size obtained by a obtain portion and the detection of the first size-detecting portion, and the original region determined by the second size-detecting portion; and a notifying portion which makes a predetermined notification based on the information that has been calculated.

摘要： An image reading device includes a loading section, a reader, and a document feeder. The loading section receives loading of a document and an identification medium. The reader reads the document and the identification medium. The document feeder conveys the document to the reader. The loading section includes a second contact glass and a medium restriction section. The second contact glass receives loading of the identification medium. The medium restriction section restricts a position of the identification medium loaded on the second contact glass. The document being conveyed by the document feeder has opposite end portions and a central portion therebetween. The opposite end portions respectively include opposite ends of the document in a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the document. Only the central portion, among the opposite end portions and the central portion, of the document comes in contact with the medium restriction section.

A size detection portion detects a size of the document placed on the first document placement portion. A storage processing portion stores size information indicating the size of the document detected by the size detection portion, into a predetermined storage medium. An image reading portion performs a reading process of scanning a read surface of the document placed on a second document placement portion, to read an image. A setting portion sets the size information stored into the storage medium by the storage processing portion, as size information to be used for the reading process by the image reading portion.

摘要： The presently disclosed inventive concepts encompass capturing video data using a mobile device, streaming the captured video data to a server for processing of the video data in real-time or near-real time, and providing the server's processing result to the mobile device for additional analysis and/or processing of the captured video data, the processing result, or both. In one embodiment an image processing server is configured to: process, in real time, input streamed to the server from a mobile device, the input comprising one or more frames of digital video data; and output a result of processing the input to the mobile device. In another embodiment, a method includes capturing video data using a mobile device, streaming the video data to an image processing server, receiving a processing result from the server, and further processing the captured video data and/or the processing result using the mobile device.

The logic is configured to cause the processor to: capture video data using a mobile device, the video data comprising a plurality of frames; determine whether one or more of the frames depict a document exhibiting one or more defining characteristics; determine whether one or more of the frame(s) determined to depict the document also satisfy one or more predetermined quality control criteria; and in response to determining one or more of the frames depict the document and also satisfy the one or more predetermined quality control criteria, automatically capture an image of the document. Corresponding computer program products are also disclosed.

In the image sensor, different sensor chips at an interval of the number of channels of the output channels are connected to each output channel, and the signal control means controls output of a pixel signal of each sensor chip based on the identified document width.
