A processor emphasizes a signal obtained from an image included in the video information on the basis of a result of emphasizing a first color component more than a second color component according to a spectral reflection characteristic in a range including the object, and detects the embedded information from the emphasized signal, the first color component and the second color component being from among a plurality of color components that correspond to a plurality of wavelengths, the first color component having a reflectance higher than a reflectance of the second color component. A display device outputs information on the basis of the embedded information detected by the processor.

摘要： Methods and systems rasterize a document to produce a bitmap having first pixels of a first color as background uniformly located across a watermark region and second pixels of a second color located in a pattern forming foreground items within the watermark region. The rasterization causes the first pixels to deposit a first marking material (forming the first color) to a first height on the print media, and the rasterization causes the second pixels to deposit a second marking material (forming the second color) to a second height (different from the first height) on the print media. In the printed document, by having the first color be different from the second color and the second height be different from the first height, this causes the relative darkness between the background and the foreground items to reverse when the printed document is viewed from different angles (relative to a light source).

摘要： A method for embedding information in an image includes defining a code corresponding to a unit of content where the code includes at least one character. The method includes defining a cryptographic representation for each character of the at least one character in the code. Each cryptographic representation includes a group of regularly spaced mark locations and each mark location has a mark selected from a normative mark or a native mark. A pattern of marks in the group of regularly spaced mark locations is unique to each character of the at least one character in the code. The method includes embedding the cryptographic representation for each character of the at least one character of the code into at least a portion of an image. A distance between mark locations in the image indicates an orientation of the image.
