摘要： A reference imaging system including a planar reference piece. The reference imaging system further includes a three-axis gantry for positioning the planar reference piece at a plurality of points in a 3D coordinate system. Additionally, the reference imaging system includes a yaw actuator for adjusting the yaw angle of the object. Furthermore, the reference imaging system includes a pitch actuator for adjusting the pitch of the object. Moreover, the reference imaging system includes a computer processing unit for controlling the 3D position, pitch and yaw of the planar reference piece.

摘要： A receiver is configured to be coupled to a television and data service provider headend via a hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) network. The receiver comprises front-end circuitry operable to receive a signal that carries a plurality of television and/or data channels, and digitize the received signal to generate a digitized signal. The receiver comprises channelizer circuitry operable to select a first portion of the digitized signal, and select a second portion of the digitized signal. The receiver comprises processing circuitry operable to process the selected second portion of the digitized signal to recover information carried in the plurality of channels. The receiver comprises monitoring circuitry operable to analyze the selected first portion of the digitized signal to measure a characteristic of the received signal; and control the transmission of network management messages back to the headend based on the measured characteristic of the received signal.

摘要： The present invention relates to a novel objective method for assessing high contrast resolution of images based on Rayleigh criterion and a testing operating method. The novel objective method for assessing high contrast resolution of images based on Rayleigh criterion involves combining the Rayleigh criterion with regional pixel intensity profiles for simultaneous application to high contrast resolution images of CT equipment, which allows objective assessment by using the Rayleigh criterion after the drawing of the regional pixel intensity profiles; the introduction of a normalized margin and the use of a Lanczos window function for interpolation processing on original images enable a considerably practical, time-effective and operable objective assessment method that is convenient for testers to use and also easy for CT equipment operators to use. Such a method, just like a modulation transfer function (MTF) method, is capable of tracking subtle and slow changes of the high contrast resolution of CT equipment in the life cycle thereof objectively and accurately, thus allowing improvement of the use efficiency of the CT equipment in the life cycle thereof; therefore, the method is suitable for extensive popularization and application.

In one instance, the method includes receiving a stream of video fingerprints, derived in a fingerprint generator by an irreversible data reduction process, from respective temporal regions within a particular visual content stream and at a fingerprint processor that is physically separate from the fingerprint generator via a communication network. The fingerprints are processed in the fingerprint processor to generate metadata which is not directly encoded in the fingerprints. Processing of the fingerprints includes windowing the stream of fingerprints with a time window, deriving frequencies of occurrence of particular fingerprint values or ranges of fingerprint values within each time window, determining statistical moments or entropy values of said frequencies of occurrence, comparing said statistical moments or entropy values with expected values for particular types of content, and generating metadata representing the type of the visual content.

The network operator can also optionally control the operation of the logging system remotely via a network agent. Improved client device and network configurations, as well as methods of operating these systems, are also disclosed.
