摘要： A system for capturing live-action three-dimensional video is disclosed. The system includes pairs of stereo cameras and a LIDAR for generating stereo images and three-dimensional LIDAR data from which three-dimensional data may be derived. A depth-from-stereo algorithm may be used to generate the three-dimensional camera data for the three-dimensional space from the stereo images and may be combined with the three-dimensional LIDAR data taking precedence over the three-dimensional camera data to thereby generate three-dimensional data corresponding to the three-dimensional space.

摘要： An image capturing device is provided comprising an image sensor for capturing a first image of a scene, a light source for illuminating the scene with a first flash of coded light, and a network interface for communicating with a communications network and/or a further image capturing device. The device is operative to encode information into the first flash, enabling retrieval of the first image from a first data storage, capture the first image, and store the first image in the first data storage. Optionally, the device may be operative to detect a second flash of coded light emitted by the further image capturing device, decode information enabling retrieval of a second image captured by the further image capturing device from a second data storage, retrieve the second image, and create a 3D model from the first image and the second image.

摘要： A method for decoding a compressed image stream, the image stream having a plurality of frames, each frame consisting of a merged image including pixels from a left image and pixels from a right image. The method involves the steps of receiving each merged image; changing a clock domain from the original input signal to an internal domain; for each merged image, placing at least two adjacent pixels into an input buffer and interpolating an intermediate pixel, for forming a reconstructed left frame and a reconstructed right frame according to provenance of the adjacent pixels; and reconstructing a stereoscopic image stream from the left and right image frames. The invention also teaches a system for decoding a compressed image stream.

摘要： A stereoscopic video temporal frame offset measurement system uses an improved signature curve generator to generate a robust signature curve for each of the left and right image sequences of a stereo video signal. The resulting signature curves are cross-correlated over a specified correlation range to generate cross-correlation coefficients. The cross-correlation coefficients are compared to a high threshold, and a temporal frame offset is generated and displayed for each cross-correlation coefficient that exceeds the high threshold. Each new temporal frame offset result is highlighted when displayed, otherwise the last result is displayed in a background fashion.
