摘要： An apparatus and method for heating a material are disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more magnetron assemblies positioned on each of opposing sides of a heating region. The magnetron assemblies positioned on one side of the heating region generate overlapping microwaves that propagate in a first direction through the material, and the magnetron assemblies positioned on the other side of the heating region generate overlapping microwaves that propagate in a second direction through the material. The overlapping microwaves provide a total wave voltage that is substantially constant across the material resulting in substantially even heating of the material.

摘要： A microwave heating system heats a hermetic container loaded with a heated object. The hermetic container is accommodated and given pressure by a microwave transparent and pressure resistant module, and is fixed onto a transporting device in a cyclic course. Microwave is generated by a microwave heating device to perform heating. The hermetic container is stirred while the transport device carries and moves the hermetic container. The temperature of the hermetic container or the heated object is measured by a temperature measuring module. The number of times to stir and repeatedly heat the heated object are appropriately determined in the design of the system. The output power and heating time of the microwave heating device and the transmission speed of the transporting device are adjustable during operations of the system, hence forming a closed-loop temperature control system.

摘要： A furnace system for thermal processing of products and materials is disclosed which is particularly useful in processing touch screens for computer tablets and silicon wafers employed in fabricating solar cells. The system employs a hybrid of microwave and radiant heating of workpieces to provide controlled heating of the workpieces. A plurality of susceptors are disposed a furnace chamber. A plurality of microwave sources are arranged to provide microwave radiation in the chamber to uniformly heat workpieces in the chamber and to provide uniform heating of the susceptors. The susceptors are effective upon microwave heating by the microwave sources to provide uniform radiant heating of the workpieces in the chamber.

摘要： The invention pertains to utilization of high power density microwave energy to reduce organic compounds to carbon and their constituents, primarily in a gaseous state. The process includes, but is not limited to, scrap tires, plastics, asphalt roofing shingles, computer waste, medical waste, municipal solid waste, construction waste, shale oil, and PCB/PAH/HCB-laden materials. The process includes the steps of feeding organic material into a microwave applicator and exposing the material to microwave energy fed from at least two linear polarized sources in non-parallel alignment to each other, and collecting the material. The at least two sources of microwave energy are from a bifurcated waveguide assembly, whose outputs are perpendicular to each other and fed through waveguide of proper impedance, such that the microwave sources are physically and electrically 90° out of phase to each other. The microwave frequency is between 894 and 1000 MHz, preferably approximately 915 MHz.
