    • A water collection structure comprises within it first and second sub-chambers and at least one water collection chamber. The first sub-chamber is at least partially bounded by a wall and has extending from it a water input guide configured and arranged to direct water toward a portion of the wall of the first sub-chamber. The second sub-chamber is open to the first sub-chamber and configured to accept a filter. The second sub-chamber is open to a conduit configured for the carriage of water from the second sub-chamber to an output port of the water collection tank. In use a filter disposed in the second sub-chamber preferentially filters water from the first sub-chamber such filtered water being deflected by the wall of the second sub-chamber to fall into the water collection chamber while the debris laden waste water falls out the lower part of the filter into the conduit.

    • A rainwater collection and distribution system embodying a rain collector apparatus for collecting rainwater in an easy to transport tank is provided, wherein the apparatus is adapted to direct excessive rainwater as well as relocate and distribute rainwater stored in the tank. The rain collector may form an internal cavity for receiving rainwater. A recessed operative surface along an upper portion of the rain collector may form a plurality of apertures for receiving and communicating the rainwater into the internal cavity. The operative surface may be sloped so that rainwater in excess of the capacity of the internal cavity is directed along the slope to a predetermined location. The rain collector may form a handle and a pour spout, whereby a user may transport the rainwater stored in the internal cavity and pour stored rainwater through the pour spout for a desired reuse activity.

    • An emergency water storage system comprises a water storage tank coupled in-line with a water heater, wherein water flows through the water storage tank into the water heater. The water storage system further comprises a vacuum avoidance valve coupled to water piping, wherein the vacuum avoidance valve is coupled after a by-pass valve. The water storage system also comprises a mid-tank feeder pipe, wherein water enters the water storage tank from a bottom of the mid tank pipe at a bottom of the water storage tank and leaves the water storage tank from a top of the mid tank pipe at the top of the tank. The emergency water storage system may also include a shut off/by-pass valve system. Further still the emergency water storage system comprises a mini-arrester to eliminate any hammering created by any air in the system.

    • A portable drinker system is configured with a convertible frame that enable a water collector to be assembled in a desired location. The portable drinker system may be configured to be carried by a single person and have suitable packed dimensions and weight for this purpose. The water collector has a canopy that is supported by the convertible frame and a drain opening to collect water. The water collector is configured to direct water collected therein to a drinker. A conduit may be coupled to a water collector and extend to drinker. A drinker comprises a water retainer that is configured for animals to drink therefrom. A convertible frame may have articulating scissor portions or integrally segmented poles or some combination thereof. The canopy may have sleeves for the insertion of poles that can be bowed to form a structure.
