摘要： A Modular Architectural Cistern (MAC) may be provided. The cistern may be embodied as slim, vertically ribbed structure. The interior of the structure may be configured to receive, store, and output rainwater. The cistern may comprise slip-fit connection joints configured to allow a plurality of connections to other MACs. Connections with other MACs may increase the rainwater storage volume available to the MAC. Moreover, the MAC may be aesthetically designed so as to accompany various architectural structures without taking away from the aesthetic appeal of the structure.

The water capture device comprises a plurality of exterior walls, an input opening, a main chamber, a release opening, an overflow channel, and an overflow opening. The plurality of exterior walls defines a cavity. The input opening allows for allowing water to enter the cavity. The main chamber is within the cavity configured to fill with water. The release opening is for selectively releasing water from the main chamber for use by a user. The overflow channel within the cavity is for receiving excess water from the main chamber that rises above a threshold associated with the overflow channel. The first overflow opening is for allowing excess water within the overflow channel to freely exit the water capture device.

At least one collection ditch coupled to the at least one drainage lane is configured to receive water from the drainage lane. At least one collection pipe housed is within and extends outwardly from the at least one collection ditch. A first container is coupled to the at least one collection pipe and configured to receive water from the at least one collection pipe. Housed within the first container is at least one water purifying filter and a pump configured to evacuate at least a portion of water within the container to a destination. A second container is in communication with the first container and is configured to: subject water received from the first container to a purification process; and store the purified water.

The distribution system may include a hydropneumatic water tank and a centrifugal filter. If the storage tank(s) is/are empty, then an empty indicator may cause water from a water supply source to be used to irrigate instead of the filtered harvested rainwater.
