摘要： A system is provided for detecting abnormal consumption in a distributed water infrastructure. The system may receive from at least one sensor associated with the distributed water infrastructure signals indicative of water usage in the distributed water infrastructure, and aggregate groups of signals to construct a plurality of time-based water event profiles, each water event profile containing a distribution of water usage indicators over time. The system may store a subset of the plurality of water event profiles in memory as normal water event profiles, and receive, from the at least one sensor, signals indicative of current water usage in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may construct, from the signals indicative of current water usage, at least one current water event profile, and compare the at least one current water event profile with normal water event profiles stored in the memory. The system may initiate remedial action if the at least one current water event profile does not substantially correspond to normal water event profiles stored in the memory.

摘要： A system is provided for differentiating between overlapping water events in a distributed water infrastructure including a plurality of water appliances. The system may comprise at least one processor. The system may repeatedly measure at least one overall water usage indicator of the distributed water infrastructure, the at least one water usage indicator including at least one of an overall flow rate and an overall flow volume in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may detect, in the repeated measurements, a first sustained increase. The system may store in memory a first indicator of the first sustained increase. The system may attribute in memory the first sustained increase to a first water event in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may, during the first sustained increase, detect in the overall measurements a second sustained increase. The system may store in memory a second indicator of the second sustained increase. The system may attribute, in memory, the second sustained increase to a second water event in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may detect, following initiation of the first sustained increase and the second sustained increase, in the repeated measurements a decrease in the overall water usage indicator. The system may attribute to the decrease a third indicator. The system may compare the third indicator with at least one of the first indicator and the second indicator stored in memory to determine a substantial match and determine a cessation of at least one of the first water event and the second water event. The system may initiate an action based on the cessation determination.

摘要： A method of processing a utility consumption signal, comprising: monitoring an input utility consumption signal for a change in magnitude; if a change is detected: extracting a first portion of the input signal including the change; extracting a first set of features corresponding to the first portion; determining an event probability value for each of one or more utility consuming device state changes, the or each event probability value being determined from the first set of features and being the probability that the first portion of the signal corresponds to the change in state of the device; if none of the event probability values are above a first threshold value; searching for two or more plateaus in the first portion, wherein each pair of adjacent plateaus define a further change in magnitude of the signal between the plateaus; if two or more plateaus are detected: extracting a sub-portion of the signal corresponding to each of the further changes and each combination of the further changes; extracting a second set of features corresponding to each sub-portion; determining an event probability value for each of one or more utility consuming device state changes, the or each event probability value being determined from the second set of features and being the probability that the sub-portion of the signal corresponds to the change in state of the device.

A monitoring system at a hospital or other central monitoring location provides for communication between personnel at a monitoring location (e.g. a medical care provider) and patient and/or caregiver at a patient location (e.g., the patient's home) via a telemedicine system. The telemedicine system may provide for audiovisual or other communication between the monitoring location and patient location, which may be in combination with medical monitoring or treatment provided with one or more associated article of medical equipment. The medical support monitoring system tracks the amount and type of usage of telepresence system and/or associated medical equipment. Tracked information regarding system usage may be used for various purposes, including billing, quality assurance, data analytics, including population studies of usage patterns, for example. Usage information may be linked to identity of patient, caregiver, or equipment used, or anonymized, depending upon the intended use.

The method includes acquiring one or more data streams from one or more resource meters and one or more electronic device sensors. Discrete events are computed from each data stream. A sequence of discrete sensor-meter event itemsets are extracted based on the events. Frequent sensor-meter event itemsets are discovered from the sequence of discrete event itemsets that occur together, and a frequency of occurrence of each frequent co-occurrence itemset is discovered. Rising sensor-meter event itemsets and falling sensor-meter event itemsets are matched based on appliance state models and the frequency of occurrence of each sensor-meter event itemset. Each individual fixture is identified. Each fixture cluster is classified to a fixture category. Based on the matched fixture events, fixture clusters, and categories, resource usage information and user activities are determined for each fixture usage event identified.
