    • The invention relates to a discharge and purging device (10) adapted for limiting the pressure of a fluid (F) occupying the inner volume of a connecting endpiece (2). The device (10) comprises a valve or a valve actuation piston; an inner enclosure (30) opening out on a front face (22) of the valve or of the piston; and an obturator (60) moveable between a closed position (C1) where it obturates the front face (22) at a first seal area (Z92) defining a first seal section (S92) towards the front face (22) and an open position where it no longer obturates the front face (22). The device (10) also comprises a first chamber (50) defined when the obturator (60) is in a closed position, between the enclosure (30), the obturator (60), the first seal area (Z92) and a second seal area (Z94) defining a second seal section (S94) opposite to the front face (22) relatively to the first seal area (Z92); a communication passage (36) between the first chamber (50) and the inner volume of the endpiece (2); means (96) for returning the obturator into the closed position; and a second chamber (40) defined between the enclosure (30), the second seal area (Z94) and the obturator (60), and isolated from the inner volume of the endpiece (2) and from the first chamber (50). The first seal section (S92) is smaller than the second seal section (S94).

    • The invention relates to a piping system for process plants of the food and beverage industry, that connects a tank and/or a process assembly to a pipe system via double seat valves formed mix-proof in the seat area, wherein a valve distributor tree opens directly into the lower tank bottom of a respectively assigned tank of the process plant and/or the valve distributor tree is connected via an assigned pipe connection to an assigned process assembly or tank of the process plant, and the pipe connection opens into the tank-side end or process assembly-side end of the valve distributor tree, in which according to the invention the second closing member is designed as a hollow rod that has at its end facing the first closing member a second seat seal that acts together with a second seat abutting at a cylindrical first seat; that the first closing member, designed as a valve piston, has a radially acting first seat seal that in the closed position of the valve is sealingly received in the first seat, forming the connector opening; that the hollow rod shaped second closing member at its end section receiving the second seat seal has on the inside a cylindrical receiving bore that is designed with the same diameter as the cylindrical first seat; that in the closed position of the second closing member, the receiving bore and the first seat are merging together in a flush manner; the second closing member having a closing member-side stop surface, has a metallic stop on the second seat, an assigned seat-side stop surface borders directly at the first seat, and in which valve rods disposed concentrically within each other are provided for the closing members which are led on one side into and out of the valve housing (FIG. 6).

    • A valve apparatus has a valve (1), an actuator (2) and a leakage sensor (3). A body (4) of the valve has first and second valve chambers (6, 8) connected to respective valve ports (10 & 12, 14 & 16) and joined by an intermediate passage (18). The valve can be set by the actuator to any one of three valve configurations. In an ‘open’ configuration the intermediate passage is open to interconnect the first and second chambers. In a ‘closed’ configuration, the intermediate passage is closed by first and second seals (24, 26) seated at respective locations in the passage to seal respectively between the first and second chambers and a leakage chamber (28) at the portion of the intermediate passage between the two seals. In a ‘cleaning’ configuration one of the seals is unseated to connect a respective one of the first and second chambers to the leakage chamber, while the other seal remains seated. The leakage sensor is connected to the leakage chamber to provide a signal indicative of a leakage flow from the leakage chamber.
