摘要： The present invention relates to softwood lignin derivatives having an aliphatic hydroxyl content of from about 2.5 mmol/g to about 7 mmol/g lignin, and the preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises: pulping a fibrous biomass, heating the biomass, maintaining the elevated temperature for 1 minute or longer, separating the cellulosic pulp to form a lignin-rich material, and recovering derivatives of native lignin. The lignin derivatives have a desired antioxidant activity characterized by radical scavenging index (RSI). Another aspect of the invention relates to compositions comprising the softwood lignin derivative. Another aspect of the invention relates to a use of the softwood lignin derivatives comprising incorporating the softwood lignin derivatives into polymer compositions.

摘要： There is disclosed a method for processing a biomass (for example straw) containing lignocellulose such that cellulose and hemicellulose are made accessible for further processing, typically by decomposition, without needing energy-consuming dissolution of the biomass in water. The method includes repeated compressions of the biomass in a reciprocating piston press, where loose biomass is continuously fed into a piston chamber in front of a piston which moves the loose biomass into a tubular reaction chamber in which the biomass is compressed for producing a vapour explosion and autohydrolysis under simultaneous displacement of compressed biomass through the reaction chamber. After compression, to the biomass can be added fluid livestock manure, fluid waste water sludge etc. in a biogas plant for subsequent biogas processing.

摘要： A method for improving the digestibility or crop residues and feed grains for livestock is disclosed in which such crop residues and grains are treated with an aqueous solution of chlorites at a pH at or above 9, except for sorghum grain which is buffered so that the solution has a pH between 6.5 and 7.0. The treated grains are satisfactory feed for ruminant animals, improved by about 50% in digestibility and are non-toxic.

The final useful mixture contains the agricultural waste as its main component and up to 60% of sugarbeet pulp, the remainder consisting of conventional additives.

摘要： A process which involves treating animal or poultry waste contained in a dropping pit or sedimentation tank of an animal or poultry confinement or holding pen with a sufficient amount of an acid to achieve and maintain the animal or poultry waste at a pH of about 4. Also, animal or poultry bedding material can be treated with acid (and after usage treated as above). The treatment eliminates the problems of the giving off of unhealthy gases and the growth of pathogens in the environment. The acid-treated waste material can be used as an animal feed or fertilizer ingredient.

摘要： Animal feedstuffs in pressed form compressed at a pressure less than 700 atmospheres to a bulk density of about 0.3 to about 1.3 g/ml and having a water content from about 8% to about 14% by weight are provided which are based on at least one comminuted, solid, structured, fibrous, agricultural by-product having a preponderance of its fibers of a minimum length of about 1 cm the agricultural by-product having a length of about 10 to about 160 mm, together with at least one digestible, non-structured industrial, non-textured by-product and/or residue with nutrient value. The structured agricultural product in the feedstuff in the pressure form still retains its structured integrity thereby to provide chewability and bite to the feedstuff. The feedstuff preferably is in the form of pellets having a size defined as follows: the diameter of the pellets is between about 14 mm and about 32 mm, the length of the pellets is between about 15 and about 50 mm; and the density of the pellets is between about 0.9 and about 1.3.
