摘要： In exemplary examples, methods and systems for treating vascular disease by implanting a stent within the vasculature and using intravascular imaging to determine and ensure that the stent was property implanted and producing a desirable and effective results is disclosed herein. For example, a system may obtain optical shape sensing data and intravascular imaging data for a blood vessel. The system may process the optical shape sensing data and the intravascular imaging data to generate a three-dimensional model and image of the blood vessel immediately before and immediately after stent implantation into the blood vessel, and perform a precise comparison of the before and after images to ensure that the stent was properly implanted and will produce or is producing a desirable and effective result. The precise comparison may be based on a derived diameter associated with the location at which the stent is placed in the blood vessel based on the generated pre and post generated three-dimensional models.

摘要： The present invention refers to the field of cardiac electrophysiology (EP) and, more specifically, to image-guided radio frequency ablation and pacemaker placement procedures. For those procedures, it is proposed to display the overlaid 2D navigation motions of an interventional tool intraoperatively obtained from the same projection angle for tracking navigation motions of an interventional tool during an image-guided intervention procedure while being navigated through a patient's bifurcated coronary vessel or cardiac chambers anatomy in order to guide e.g. a cardiovascular catheter to a target structure or lesion in a cardiac vessel segment of the patient's coronary venous tree or to a region of interest within the myocard. In such a way, a dynamically enriched 2D reconstruction of the patient's anatomy is obtained while moving the interventional instrument. By applying a cardiac and/or respiratory gating technique, it can be provided that the 2D live images are acquired during the same phases of the patient's cardiac and/or respiratory cycles. Compared to prior-art solutions which are based on a registration and fusion of image data independently acquired by two distinct imaging modalities, the accuracy of the two-dimensionally reconstructed anatomy is significantly enhanced.

摘要： For three-dimensional segmentation from two-dimensional intracardiac echocardiography imaging, the three-dimension segmentation is output by a machine-learnt multi-task generator. Rather than the brute force approach of training the generator from 2D ICE images to output a 2D segmentation, the generator is trained from 3D information, such as a sparse ICE volume assembled from the 2D ICE images. Where sufficient ground truth data is not available, computed tomography or magnetic resonance data may be used as the ground truth for the sample sparse ICE volumes. The generator is trained to output both the 3D segmentation and a complete volume (i.e., more voxels represented than in the sparse ICE volume). The 3D segmentation may be further used to project to 2D as an input with an ICE image to another network trained to output a 2D segmentation for the ICE image. Display of the 3D segmentation and/or 2D segmentation may guide ablation of tissue in the patient.

Here, according to the invention, the image display and control unit is wirelessly connected to the data processing and image generating apparatus, and comprises a display and input unit with a closed surface. On the closed surface of the display and input unit, control elements and a respective view of the body part are displayed during operation of the image display and control unit, together with a representation of the position, and preferably also the orientation, of the instrument. The image display and control unit is embodied to accept user inputs via displayed control elements and to transmit control signals to the data processing and image generating apparatus as a function of the respectively accepted user inputs.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided for automated identification of vascular pathology in computed tomography images. A region of interest in a chest of a patient is imaged via a computed tomography scanner to provide an image. The region of interest includes at least one of the ascending aorta, the central pulmonary artery, the left and right pulmonary arteries, the lobar arteries extending from the left and right pulmonary arteries, the aortic arch, and the descending aorta of the patient. For each of a plurality of locations within the region of interest, a value representing a variation in radiodensity values for voxels within the location is determined from the image to provide a set of variation values. At a derived model, a parameter representing vascular pathology within the patient is determined from the set of variation values and provided to a user at an associated output device.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for accessing tissue outside a bronchus and marking the location of a biopsy are provided. The method includes loading a navigation plan into a navigation system with the navigation plan including a CT volume generated from a plurality of CT images, inserting an extended working channel (EWC) including a location sensor into a patient's airways, registering a sensed location of the EWC with the CT volume of the navigation plan, and selecting a target in the navigation plan located outside the periphery of a patient's airways. The method further includes navigating the EWC and location sensor proximate the target, inserting a piercing catheter into the EWC, piercing through an airway wall to reach the target, storing a position of the location sensor in the navigation system as a biopsy location, and performing a biopsy at the stored biopsy location.
