摘要： Disclosed are an activated carbon adsorption tower and a gas purification device. An activated carbon adsorption tower comprises an adsorption tower body (1), a gas inlet (2) and a gas outlet (3) arranged on the adsorption tower body (1); the adsorption tower body (1) is provided with an activated carbon passage (11), a swash plate (12) and a gas passage in communication with the gas inlet (2) and the gas outlet (3); the gas passage is separated by the swash plate (12) into a U shape or serpentine shape, making the gas passage pass through the same activated carbon passage (11) from the opposite direction at least once; and the activated carbon passage (11) is provided with flowing activated carbon inside and gas holes on the passage wall for communicating with the gas passages on both sides.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided for separation of CO2 from dilute source streams. The systems and methods for the separation can include use of contactors that correspond radial flow adsorbent modules that can allow for efficient contact of CO2-containing gas with adsorbent beds while also facilitating use of heat transfer fluids in the vicinity of the adsorbent beds to reduce or minimize temperature variations. In particular, the radial flow adsorbent beds can be alternated with regions of axial flow heat transfer conduits to provide thermal management. The radial flow structure for the adsorbent beds combined with axial flow conduits for heat transfer fluids can allow for sufficient temperature control to either a) reduce or minimize temperature variations within the adsorbent beds or b) facilitate performing the separation using temperature as a swing variable for controlling the working capacity of the adsorbent.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided for conversion of oxygenate feeds to distillate boiling range products using multiple moving bed reactor stages. The systems and methods allow for multiple stages to be used while avoiding the need for distillation or other boiling point based separation as the mixture of feed and effluent is passed between stages. Instead, a stripping gas is used to disengage the feed and effluent from the catalyst solids. In combination with an improved moving bed reactor design, this can allow substantially all of the feed and effluent from a first moving bed reactor stage to be passed into a second moving bed reactor stage, even when the feed and effluent include both vapor and liquid phase portions.

The silica gel has a particle size ranging from 1 mm to 5 mm inclusive, an average pore diameter ranging from 10 nm to 100 nm inclusive, and a pore volume ranging from 0.1 cm3/g to 1.3 cm3/g inclusive.

摘要： A method for removing carbon dioxide directly from ambient air, using a sorbent under ambient conditions, to obtain relatively pure CO2. The CO2 is removed from the sorbent using process heat, preferably in the form of steam, at a temperature in the range of not greater than about 130° C., to capture the relatively pure CO2 and to regenerate the sorbent for repeated use. Increased efficiency can be achieved by admixing with the ambient air, prior to contacting the sorbent, a minor amount of a preferably pretreated effluent gas containing a higher concentration of carbon dioxide. The captured carbon dioxide can be stored for further use, or sequestered permanently. The above method provides purified carbon dioxide for further use in agriculture and chemical processes, or for permanent sequestration.

摘要： A system for removing carbon dioxide from a carbon dioxide laden gas mixture, the system comprising two groups of carbon dioxide removal structures, each removal structure within each group comprising a porous solid mass substrate supported on the structure; and a sorbent that is capable of adsorbing or binding to carbon dioxide, to remove carbon dioxide from a gas mixture, the sorbent being supported upon the surfaces of the porous mass substrate solid; an endless loop support for each of the groups of the removal structures, the endless loop support being so arranged as to move the support structures of each group along a closed curve while being exposed to a stream of the gas mixture; and a sealable regeneration box at one location along each of the endless loop supports, in which, when a porous solid mass substrate is sealed in place therein, carbon dioxide adsorbed upon the sorbent is stripped from the sorbent and the sorbent regenerated; each removal structural supporting a porous substrate in a position to be exposed to a flow of carbon dioxide laden gas mixture so as to allow for the removal of CO2 from the gas mixture; the number of removal structures to the number of regeneration boxes being directly determined by the ratio of the time to adsorb CO2, from a base level to desired level on the sorbent, to the time to strip the CO2 from the desired level back to the base level.

摘要： A process to separate paraxylene from a mixture of paraxylene, metaxylene, orthoxylene, and ethylbenzene in a commercial simulated moving bed apparatus in a reduced number of beds is provided, allowing an additional separation to be conducted in the remaining beds. This additional separation may separate another xylene isomer, ethylbenzene, or a non-aromatic C8+ hydrocarbon from the raffinate stream produced by the first separation. A PowerFeed process is used to recover paraxylene in a first adsorption zone containing 8-16 beds of a conventional 24-bed simulated moving bed adsorption apparatus, and then a second separation may be conducted in a second adsorption zone containing the remaining beds.

摘要： A process is disclosed for reversibly absorbing carbon dioxide to an alkali metal or earth alkaline absorbent. For absorption the absorbent is contacted with a first gas composition. For desorption the absorbent is contacted with a second gas composition. The moisture contents of the first and second gas compositions are controlled so that during the absorption step the absorbent is converted to a bicarbonate, and during the desorption step the absorbent is converted to a carbonate hydrate.Compared to prior art processes the process of the invention requires less energy input. The process of the invention is particularly suitable for producing a carbon dioxide enriched gas for accelerating plant growth in a greenhouse.
