The discrete supply hopper (340) is configured to transfer a build powder to the recoater (20) in a manner that enhances the uniformity of build powder layers that are dispensed from the recoater (20). In some embodiments, at least one of the discrete supply hopper and the powder hopper of the recoater is adapted to selectively contact the other, seal against the other, and/or have one partially inserted inside the other so as to diminish or prevent powder pluming during the transfer of build powder from the discrete supply hopper to the recoater.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for determining particle size distribution in a bulk material, such as milled or grinded grain for animal feed. The device comprises an inlet for receiving at least a portion of the bulk material, a sorting mechanism for sorting the received bulk material. Said sorting mechanism comprises at least a first sorting device for sorting said received bulk material into at least two sorted partitions wherein the sorting device are capable of sorting different particle sizes and said at least two sorted partitions have different particle sizes. The invention further comprises a motor or actuator for vibrating said sorting device, a weighing system with at least one sensor for weighing the at least two sorted partitions sorted by said sorting mechanism and a data output for generating output data indicative of a weight of the at least two sorted partitions, so as to allow calculation of the particle size distribution in the bulk material received in the inlet and thus provide information regarding the particle size composition of the milled or grinded grain.

摘要： A plant product extraction apparatus or extractor is provided for separating or grading fine particles from a larger portion of material, such as separating trichomes from a stalk or flower of a plant. The apparatus imparts a plurality modes or patterns of oscillations and vibrations to a particle separator or sieve that holds the plant matter. A motor drives a back and forth motion to a support platform supporting a sieve. The sieve is constrained by a retention tray that is supported by the support platform. Vibratory motors provide rapid shaking vibration through the retention tray to the sieve. Agitators may be placed inside of the sieve to facilitate the separation of the plant materials. The various motors and locomotion patterns facilitate the separation of finer plant materials from a larger portion of a plant.
