摘要： Dust cover installation tool configured for placement of a dust cover in an annular opening of an idler pulley includes a frame and a cap press. The frame includes an actuator end core, an opposed placement plate, and at least first and second arms extending therebetween, and a third arm disposed between the first and second arms. The cap press includes a press plate and a rotatable threaded rod extending through a threaded bore in the actuator end core. Rotation of the threaded rod in a first direction within the threaded bore advances the press plate toward the placement plate.

摘要： A puller spacer has a cylindrical and elongated body. The puller spacer has a slot formed in a side of the body. The slot extends from a center bore of the puller spacer to an exterior of the puller spacer. Wires that extend out of a steering column are routed through a bottom of the puller spacer and into a center bore of the puller spacer, with an end of each of the wires extending out of the slot formed in a side of the puller spacer. The puller spacer is positioned between a distal end of a center threaded member of a steering wheel puller and the top of the steering column. The steering wheel puller engages the steering wheel and the center threaded member of the steering wheel puller is advanced to pull the steering wheel away from the steering column.

摘要： A ball joint press for installation/removal of ball joints or bushings into/from suspension components of vehicles. In general, the press includes first and second frame portions, a spine/shaft coupling the first and second frame portions together, and actuators coupled to one of the first and second frame portions. The actuators are sized and spaced such that combined forces of the actuators minimize a bending moment (and bending stress) about the shaft. The actuators may also share a feed line that provides for equal pressure across both actuators. This reduces an axis of bending of the shaft, and causes the first and second frame portions to remain substantially parallel and the force in line with an axis of motion to install or remove the ball joint.

摘要： A packing insertion tool for inserting a packing stack into a cylinder of a piston pump includes a packing holder on which the packing stack is mounted. The packing holder includes a body, a handle disposed at a first end of the body, and a plurality of fingers disposed at a second end of the body. The fingers extend axially from the body and the packing stack is mounted on the fingers, between the body and a retaining feature disposed at a distal end of the fingers. The fingers can flex to allow the diameter of the distal end of the fingers to change as the packing stack slides on to and off of the fingers.
