摘要： A wheel shield includes a central disk having a central wheel hub opening surrounded by annularly spaced stud holes that correspond to a pattern presented by a vehicle. The central disk includes an outwardly open fastening surface such as a channel positioned around an outer diameter of the central disk. The wheel shield includes a radially-compressible ring such as radially extending filaments. The radially-compressible ring has an inner diameter attached in the outwardly open fastening surface of the central disk and sized to engagingly contact an inner diameter of a vehicle wheel rim to restrict movement of brake dust to an exposed outer surface of the vehicle wheel rim while still allowing for the movement of air for cooling.

摘要： A fastener assembly is provided for helping to secure a mounting bracket to a housing of a vehicle caliper assembly having a piston axially movable for applying braking force to a brake pad. The fastener assembly includes a guide device including guide pin secured to the housing and having a head and a shaft extending into a bore in the mounting bracket. A sleeve includes a first portion configured to extend into the bore and a second portion provided inside the first portion and encircling and engaging the shaft for damping relative movement between the guide pin and the bore in response to vehicle vibrations. A flexible seal encircles the shaft and is connected to the guide pin and the sleeve such that axial movement of the guide pin relative to the bore changes the length of the seal.

摘要： A brake pad may have at least one plate and at least one friction material supported by the plate. The friction material surface may have a barycenter. The plate may have a first slot and a second slot. The first slot may have a first slot edge adapted to accommodate a first pin mounted on the caliper body. The second slot may have a second slot edge adapted to accommodate a second pin mounted on the caliper body. In a forward braking condition, the brake pad rests on the first pin with a first slot first portion, and the brake pad rests on the second pin with a second slot first portion. The first slot is arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the barycenter and the second slot is arranged in a radially inner position with respect to the barycenter. The first slot and the second slot may be radially external with respect to a barycenter circumference centered on a rotation axis and passing through a barycenter.

The at least one brake lining comprises a friction lining and a lining carrier which is displaceably mounted by guide ears in the guide grooves in the actuating direction. The at least one positioning device comprises a guide and comprises a clamping device, the brake lining and the brake carrier being coupled thereby so as to be displaceable relative to one another. The clamping device has at least one protruding, elastically-acting clamping element which, due to the elastic deformation in an operating configuration of the positioning device, brings about both a frictional connection between the clamping device and the guide, which permits a wear adjustment and generates a restoring force when an actuating force is applied to the positioning device. The disclosure further relates to a mounting method for mounting a positioning device in the disc brake arrangement.

Each of the inner pad and the outer pad has a circular shape, and a contact surface of the piston, which is in contact with the inner pad to press the inner pad during braking, has a circular shape.

摘要： A one piece drum brake spider construction eliminates welds and distortion, at least relative to a typically fabricated spider, and should improve brake performance. The spider includes a main body plate having opposed flat sides, an outer perimeter, and an inner perimeter configured to receive an axle tube. Vibration control structure is preferably formed on at least one of the opposed flat sides of the main body plate, and the brake drum spider additionally includes weight minimizing features. At least the main body plate may be produced by any of a casting technique, a stamping technique, a machining technique, and an additive manufacturing technique. The invention also concerns a process of producing such a brake drum spider.
