摘要： A flame resistant to nonflammable composite panel is produced from a nonextrudable core mixture with a pourable, nonflammable filling material and a binder, and on both sides cover strips, flexibly bonded to the core. For a continuous production of the composite panel in one operation, the core mixture is poured onto a flexible lower adhesive film, supported as it runs in, and a pile extending over the entire width forms there. Between the lower adhesive film and a flexible upper adhesive film, likewise supported as it runs in, material of the core mixture is continuously and uniformly drawn through a V gap and compacted there for the first time and calibrated to thickness. The adhesive films containing the precompacted core mixture are adhesively bonded to the continuously fed cover strips. The apparatus comprises a stretching roller for each of the adhesive films, a device for the uniform application of the core mixture, first means for forming a settable running-in angle and the V gap, second means for supporting the lower adhesive film and third means for the concluding pressing and heating, as well as a device for cutting to length.

摘要： An extrusion head is provided for extruding flat profiles for producing tread strip portions of vehicle tires from mixtures of rubber or plastics materials, which permits one of the constituents such as the tread strip mixture to be changed without adversely affecting the other constituent parts of the mixture, such as the lateral rubber strip mixtures and the base rubber layer. This is achieved by suitably deflecting the flow channels for the lateral rubber layers in a front template. The flow channel for the lateral strips enters the template below the flow channel for the tread strip but discharges alongside the lateral edges of the tread strip. The head comprises a fixed central portion and pivotable upper and lower portions, the flow channels for the constituents of the mixture being defined by channels formed in insert members located between the head portions. By so doing, the flow channels for the base layer and for the lateral strips can be formed in one of the insert members leaving only the flow channel for the tread strip to be formed in the other insert member. Since it is the tread strip mixture which is most frequently changed, this can now be effected without adversely affecting the other two mixtures.

The distribution apparatus includes a roller; the roller is movable across the horizontal surface between the supplying apparatus and the recycling trough, so that the powder material inside the supplying apparatus can be distributed onto the horizontal surface. The powder collection cover covers the roller. The control unit is electrically connected to the distribution apparatus and controls the roller to move between the supplying apparatus and the recycling trough.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a hollow core door is disclosed, as well as a corresponding hollow core door. The method includes the steps of providing a solid flat door skin, moisturizing the flat skin, applying a conditioning resin thereto, pre-heating the flat door skin, and thereafter pressing the flat door skin between a pair of heated platens in a press in order to reform the flat skin into a molded skin including a plurality of panels defined therein. The press continuously closes in order to reform the flat skin into the molded skin, with the rate of press closure being a function of the determined hardness of the flat skin to be reformed. The resulting door skins have an improved bond strength, and are efficiently manufactured.

摘要： Improved particleboard and methods for fabricating improved particleboard (e.g., natural fiber/material-based particleboard) are disclosed. More particularly, the present disclosure provides systems/methods for fabricating particleboard (e.g., formaldehyde-free particleboard) utilizing natural fibers/materials (e.g., lignocellulosic materials), wherein the particleboard has improved performance characteristics and/or mechanical properties. Methods for fabricating fiber-reinforced biocomposites (e.g., natural fiber-reinforced wheat gluten biocomposites) are disclosed. For example, systems/methods for fabricating particleboard from lignocellulosic materials (e.g., coconut materials), along with a binder material (e.g., wheat gluten), are provided. In general, the fiber or lignocellulosic material is treated with sodium hydroxide and/or a silane coupling agent as an adhesion promoter to enhance interfacial adhesion between the fiber and the binder. For example, (3-triethoxysilylpropyl)-t-butylcarbamate (MISO) (a masked isocyanate functional silane) was utilized to improve interfacial adhesion between the binder and the natural fibers.
