A head unit includes n nozzle rows in a conveying direction perpendicular to an axial direction parallel to the rotational axis. Each of the n nozzle rows includes nozzles aligned as a nozzle row in the axial direction. Each n nozzle row is arranged at a distance of d1 to d(n−1) from a predetermined reference nozzle row. A circuit outputs a rotational amount detection signal, and a conveying amount detection signal, and generates a discharge synchronization signal based on the detected rotational amount detection signal and the detected conveying amount detection signal, then generates a nozzle row timing signal based on the distance of the d1 to d(n−1) and the discharge synchronization signal, and generates discharge data based on the discharge synchronization signal and the nozzle row timing signal.

摘要： Certain examples described herein relate to a buffer unit for a printing system. In certain cases, a measurement device is used to obtain measurement data representing an optical property of a printed image on a substrate. A buffer unit receives the substrate downstream of the measurement device and places the substrate in a queue. In certain cases, a controller determines, based on the measurement data, whether the printed image comprises a defect. Responsive to determining that the printed image does not comprise a defect, the controller causes the substrate to be moved from the buffer unit to an output stack. Responsive to determining that the printed image comprises a defect, the controller causes the substrate to not be moved to the output stack.

The controller is capable of dividing the irradiator into an upstream-side irradiator, an intermediate irradiator adjacent to the upstream-side irradiator on a downstream side in the feeding direction, and a printless region irradiator adjacent to the intermediate irradiator on a downstream side in the feeding direction, and individually controlling lighting and extinguishing of each of the irradiators defined by the division.

摘要： A printing device includes a platen roller, a pair of bearings, and a holder including a pair of fitting portions to which the bearings are fitted. The bearings rotatably support a rotational shaft of the platen roller. Each bearing includes a small-diameter portion, a large-diameter portion coaxially connected to the small-diameter portion, and a protrusion provided at an outer circumferential surface of the small-diameter portion. The larger-diameter portion has a peripheral surface and an end face connecting the peripheral surface to the outer circumferential surface. Each fitting portion includes: a receiving portion configured to receive the small-diameter portion; an opening to which the protrusion is fitted; and a receiving surface configured to contact the end face of the large-diameter portion from outward in an axial direction of the rotational shaft. At least one of the end face and the receiving surface includes a recessed portion.

In one aspect, such a method can include receiving at a print server a plurality of print jobs having a plurality of print parameters from a plurality of users, where individual print jobs have multiple print parameters being represented in a portion of the plurality of print jobs. The method can further include selecting a prioritization factor, identifying a plurality of print service providers having at least partially different printing configurations, sorting the plurality of print jobs into a plurality of print job groupings based on common printing parameters and the prioritization factor, and sending the plurality of print job groupings to the plurality of print service providers to achieve the common print parameters and the prioritization factor.
