摘要： Provided herein are adhesive compositions comprising a polyurea-poly(meth)acrylate interpenetrating polymer network. Further provided are two-part curable adhesive compositions comprising a Part A initiator composition and a Part B activator composition. The Part A initiator composition comprises an organoborane-amine complex and the Part B activator composition comprises an isocyanate that is reactive with the amine portion of the organoborane-amine complex to liberate organoborane from the organoborane-amine complex. Further provided are methods of using an adhesive composition comprising a polyurea-poly(meth)acrylate interpenetrating polymer network, such as, for example, in joining and/or bonding together polyolefin materials (e.g., polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R) pipes).

摘要： An adhesive laminate comprising (A) a light-transmitting substrate layer formed from a melt extruded thermoplastic resin, (B) a hard coat layer formed by using a hard coating agent comprising not less than 13 wt % of colloidal silica and/or an alkoxysilane hydrolysis condensate based on the total weight of the layer B excluding a solvent, (C) an adhesive primer layer, and (D) an elastic adhesive layer. Layers (A)-(D) are formed in this order. Layer C is formed from a primer composition comprising a silane coupling agent and has a thickness of 1 to 20 μm and an indentation elasticity modulus of 500 to 4,000 MPa. Layer D has a thickness (Y) of 0.9 to 14 mm.

摘要： Methods of forming laminating adhesive articles include providing a multi-layer article, and a tool with a structured surface. The multi-layer articles include a substrate, an adhesive layer, and a liner or may just include an adhesive layer and a liner. The multi-layer article is placed between the structured surface of the tool and a support surface and the tool is embossed against the liner by applying pressure or a combination of pressure and heat. The embossing causes the structures on the surface of the tool to distort the liner and the adhesive layer but does not distort the substrate. The distortion in the liner is retained upon release of the applied pressure. Upon removal of the liner from the adhesive layer, the structures on the adhesive layer are unstable, but do not immediately collapse.

The reactive oligomers can be prepared from polyamines through chain extension reactions using diaryl carbonates followed by capping reactions. Adhesive articles, including optical adhesive articles may be prepared using the disclosed non-silicone urea-based adhesives.

摘要： A polyurea adhesive composition that is obtainable by reaction of reaction components that include a polyisocyanate comprising isocyanurate rings, the polyisocyanate having a functionality equal to or greater than 3, a polyamine having an average molecular weight greater than about 500 dalton and a carboxylic acid. Additionally, the reaction components may comprise an aromatic diamine chain extender. The molar ratio of the isocyanate groups to whole amine and carboxylic acid functions of the reaction components is between 1.5 and 3.5. Further provided is an article comprising a component bonded to the article with the polyurea adhesive described above. The bonded faces between the component and the article may be of cross-linked rubber composition. The article may be, for example, a tire, a tread band and/or a patch applied to the tire.
