摘要： Alcohols preferably having a pka below that of propanol-1 are heated with certain heterocyclic phosphites to give phosphonates and certain heterocyclic phosphonites, to give phosphinates. If small amounts of alcohols are employed, the products are generally polymeric in nature whereas if larger amounts of the alcohol are employed, there is generally ring opening to the simpler monomer, or isomerization to the phosphonate or phosphinate. The products are useful as fire retardants and as adhesives for glass. Pentaerythritol phosphite can be self-polymerized by such heating to form the adhesive polymer.

摘要： There is disclosed a process for preparing novel tacking agents for glass fiber insulation. The tacking agent solution is prepared by adding a condensed phosphate to an aqueous solution of aluminum orthophosphate to provide a homogeneous solution having an Al:P molar ratio of less than 1, preferably 1:3 and wherein the amount of condensed phosphate comprises from about 25 to about 75 percent of the total phosphate in the solution. The tacking agent is applied to glass fiber in the preparation of insulating articles and then heated to convert the tacking agent into a non-hygroscopic, water insoluble, amorphous, condensed aluminum phosphate polymer. The tacking agent resiliently tacks the glass fibers together so as to provide regain of shape after deformation of the fibers as by compression.

摘要： A flame-retardant aconitic acid-derived monomer, a process for forming a flame-retardant polymer, and an article of manufacture comprising a material that contains a flame-retardant aconitic acid-derived monomer are disclosed. The flame-retardant aconitic acid-derived monomer can have at least one phosphoryl or phosphonyl moiety with functional groups that can participate in a polymerization reaction, such as allyl, epoxy, or propylene carbonate functional groups. The process for forming the flame-retardant polymer can include forming an aconitic acid derivative, forming a phosphorus-based flame-retardant molecule, and reacting the aconitic acid derivative with the phosphorus-based flame-retardant molecule to form a flame-retardant aconitic acid-derived monomer, which is then polymerized. The aconitic acid derivative can be synthesized from aconitic acid obtained from a bio-based source. The material in the article of manufacture can be a resin or adhesive, and the article of manufacture can further comprise an electronic component.

摘要： Provided are an adhesive composition that is halogen-free and that can satisfy flame retardancy without impairing adhesiveness or solder heat resistance, and a laminate and a flexible printed wiring board using the same. The adhesive resin composition contains an epoxy resin; a thermoplastic resin; a benzoxazine compound; a halogen-free flame retardant; and a curing agent, in which at least one of the epoxy resin and the thermoplastic resin contains a phosphorus-containing resin, and the phosphorus content in the solid portion of the adhesive resin composition is 2.5% by mass or more. Preferably, a phosphorus-containing epoxy resin is used as the epoxy resin, a thermoplastic resin containing 10% to 70% by mass of a phosphorus-containing polyester is used as the thermoplastic resin, and the amount of benzoxazine is 5 to 25 parts by mass and the amount of halogen-free flame retardant is 1 to 30 parts by mass per 100 parts of the resins.
