摘要： A composite structural panel for use in bridge structures, and method of manufacturing same, comprises a top panel and a bottom panel separated by and attached to at least one, but preferably a plurality, of structural composite preforms which may be fabricated by a continuous manufacturing process and may be saturated by resin using a continuous wetting process. The composite preforms may take any cross sectional shape but are preferably trapezoidal. The top and bottom panels may be fabricated from a plurality of layers of woven fabric layers and non-woven fabric layers which are saturated with a resin that is subsequently cured using cure processes known in the art. The composite structural panel of the invention is usable as a flat structural member for use as bridge decking, ramps, trestles, and any application requiring a structural panel.

摘要： A dock leveler comprising a ramp hinged at its rear end to a supporting structure and movable between a generally horizontal position and an upwardly inclined position. A lip is hinged to the forward edge of the ramp and can be pivoted between a downwardly hanging pendant position and an extended position. Interposed between the ramp and the supporting structure is an inflatable bag, while a second inflatable bag interconnects the ramp and the lip. Blowers mounted beneath the ramp supplies low pressure air to both bags, and inflation of the first bag will move the ramp upwardly to the inclined position, while inflation of the second bag will move the lip from the pendant to the extended position.

摘要： A device for bridging over expansion joints of a roadway includes a matting of elastomeric substance placed over spaced elements of a joint to bridge the same. The matting has longitudinal portions held in grooves provided in retainer profiles positioned along the edge of each element of the joint. The longitudinal portions of the matting have ribs which fit into the grooves of the retainer profiles and fill the grooves so as to leave an anchoring space between the bottom of each groove and the ribs. The matting has holes which connect the upper surface of the matting with the anchoring space. The holes are filled with elastomeric synthetic resin casting which also fills the anchoring space.
