摘要： A vehicle steering system comprises: a motor assembly operably coupled to a steering rack, the motor assembly comprising a motor having a rotor and a motor position sensor configured to sense a rotor angle of the motor in a single-turn range; and a rotary-to-linear conversion mechanism operably coupled between the motor assembly and the steering rack, the rotary-to-linear conversion mechanism comprising a rotor operably coupled to the rotor of the motor. A processor calculates an absolute angular position of the pinion in a full-turn range of rotation of the pinion based on the sensed rotor angle of the motor and a pinion angle sensed by a pinion angle sensor in a single-turn range, or based on the sensed rotor angle of the motor and an angle of the rotor of the rotary-to-linear conversion mechanism sensed by an angular position sensor in the single-turn range.

The controller is configured to selectively execute a standby control of causing the linear motion member to stand by at a standby position where a clearance between the friction member and the rotating body is not larger than a backlash between a male screw and a female screw, and a backward movement control of moving the linear motion member backward to a backward movement position where the clearance is allowed to be equal to or more than the backlash, in a case where there is no braking force request for the electric brake device.

摘要： A disk brake allowing a connector terminal (255) and a joining terminal (256) to be easily positioned in a width direction thereof and a direction toward an opening portion of a housing, because the joining terminal fixed to one end of a harness includes individual protruding portions (265) and a pair of biasing portions (264). Further, due to each of the biasing portions, the connector terminal and the joining terminal can be brought into close contact with each other. Further, due to the protruding portions of the joining terminal, an end (258A) of the connector terminal and an end (268A) of a contact surface portion (263) can be brought into alignment with each other, which facilitates formation of such a welded portion (266) that extends over the respective ends, and thus achieves a secure connection between the connector terminal and the joining terminal.
